The Early Access open beta runs from August 5th to the 9th and is available to those who have preordered the Left 4 Dead-inspired shooter. Those interested can also register over on the Back 4 Blood website for a chance to get into the Early Access beta. Then, running from August 12th to the 16th, a second beta will be available to all players. Both betas also feature cross-play and cross-gen support.

In both betas, you’ll have access to two maps for the Swarm PvP mode, two co-op maps to fight off enemies known as Ridden with your pals, and can play as a variety of characters and six different Ridden variants in Swarm. There will also be numerous weapons to check out, card decks to build, and the Fort Hope communal hub to explore.

Back 4 Blood launches for Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and Windows 10 on October 12th and also joins Xbox Game Pass and Xbox Game Pass for PC on day one.

I registered for the beta. Didn’t pre-order so I’m not sure if I’ll get picked for the closed beta.

I pre-ordered, but if the beta sucks big dick, I’ll cancel. That way I will be guaranteed the Beta.

Actually it doesn’t matter, I’ll cancel it no matter what…forgot it’s on game pass.

I’ll just give it a go on the open beta and see how it plays out
