Starting a thread to discuss the BF: Hardline beta. Do you like it? Meh? Let’s hear it.
I think it makes COD feel realistic, and thats bad. I played the closed and open beta last year and actually thought it ran a bit better then. Too arcady and for me, gun physics are weird and inaccurate, vehicles, concept, and textures are laughable. i really wanted it to be good since i just recently got BF4 back and saw how much it had improved so i figured given all this extra time to improve that Hardline would be my next shooter purchase. I’ll stick with BF4 and COD until Borderlands in March
I like the few hours I had with it. I don’t over analyze it. It was fun and that’s all that matters to me. If everyone bails on it I’ll pass.
The key to me is even with what I felt were limitations I had fun with it last night with our group in there.
I am biased because I don’t like BF, but I was hoping for a different feel here… Didn’t get it.
I’m really iffy on this one. It’s glitchy and just odd. Hotwire sounds like a good time but it isn’t for me. I like Heist just need some time on the maps and understanding the game type better. Conquest is conquest. It’s good.
I’m not sure that I want to buy this now. I have BF4 and that plays way better than this beta. This really reminds me of all those Half Life (1) mods that came out. Sure Counter-Strike was awesome but most weren’t. Hardline doesn’t look that good. Movement isn’t as smooth at BF. This really should be a $30 DLC for BF4.

It’s not bad. The car matches seem to be just drive around until you get blown up, which I heard someone say, I agree with that.
The weapons feel like BF, and sniping is still king. I think it’s just ok. Not awesome. Not sure I’m really into a $60 purchase for it though. I’d go for $20
Still having fun with this but there are glaring issues.
- freezing or getting dropped from games
And
- laggy, messed up physics when cars collide
Those being the worst. To be honest I don’t think these consoles have the power to run all the explosions, levelution, vehicle and weapon physics at the same time. I haven’t tried it on PC but I bet it runs much better with a decent system.
I do love how they are running this beta to test their servers and I join you guys where it was just the six of us on the map. With me on the other side!

Honestly, I’m not sure. Just didn’t want an add-on feel for BF.
Maybe I’ll get it for PC then! Seeing as how I’m a soon to be PC gamer and all. 
the bolt action shoot ridiculously fast!!! def need a nerf.

Its got straight pull on by default. That speeds it way up.
that streight pull shoots as fast as a damn semi auto… its stupid.
I enjoyed the Beta access, but like most of you had some problems with what I perceived as standard “Battlefield expectations”. The two new game modes were entertaining and I really enjoyed the fast play of hotwired, but hated the incessant in-game callouts that went along with both of the new modes (Hot Wire & Heist). The game speed moved much faster than BF4, but I didn’t see it hampering my enjoyment of the game modes. The destruction left a lot to be desired on both maps, outside of the small fences, vehicles and shrubbery I was seriously disappointed. I did read a few Dev comments that said on the larger maps the destruction was scaled back to focus on game mechanics and PTFO flow. I have been disappointed with the destruction since BFBC2 which was the entry that brought me into the BF universe on the console. If there is appropriate destruction on other maps, it could negate my feelings for just those two maps in the beta.
Some of the gun physics and power issues were glaring, but I have faith minor stuff like that will get adjusted when they review the Beta data from the servers. The choppers seemed ridiculous when compared to other BF games. Stingers were ridiculously overpowered.
I will probably buy the game, but will hold off on any Premium or DLC until I see how well the launch goes and if there are any major hiccups.

This may be a release decision for me. I need something new to play. If there is nothing else is due out around that time, then I’ll pick this up.

The only reason I waiver here (besides I buy tons of games) is there is nothing really out on the horizon shooter wise.

i have had mine ordered since last year but from what I have heard so far I am on the fence
