Three new videos from Treyarch give the lowdown on the new Lockup map, the Casino map and the updated Blackout map coming to Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 during Operation Grand Heist.
The Lockup map is centred on a Los Angeles police station which is under attack by criminals. It features both high and low-level spawn points, and the police station roof is its natural power position. Players spawning at street level can approach the rooftops via several climbing and grappling routes. Meanwhile, the high-level spawn allows players to reach lower levels by breaking through bay windows and skylights.
The updated Blackout map has a new Western-themed destination called Ghost Town, which combines new versions of the Buried and Standoff maps from Black Ops II . There are only four routes connecting Buried to the Outlaw section above it, making it a particularly challenging area to enter or leave. However, its buried buildings are packed with loot to make the effort worthwhile. Additionally, new support structures have been added at key locations throughout the Blackout map and many existing structures have been extended.
Finally, the Casino map features a grand open-plan central area complete with three large skylights as well as multiple points of entry. Players will likely find themselves in a battle to hold the circular bar area in the centre of the map.
Operation Grand Heist is the first of four operations coming to Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 this year.
