Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 Mega Thread

I think it’s just mixer.

I know people were Twitching it.

Haven’t played but did catch some streams over the weekend. Looks like the same old COD. I’ll pass. I bought WW2 due to the era it was in. It was still COD at core.

I played the beta a ton this past weekend and I enjoyed the game more than I thought I would. The addition of manual healing changes the pace of the game so much. I will definitely be keeping my pre order and looking fwd to the blackout beta in Sept. and final release in Oct!

Was excited to try the beta on PC. I was more excited to get in early thanks to a private beta invitation from Intel. Then found out there was not gamepad support for the PC beta. That’s a deal breaker for me as I am not a KB&M guy. I think that gamepad support should have been already included as its cross platform so the game is coded for it. That was just a big oversight for me and I will probably be passing on this since I wont have the opportunity to see how it plays for me before launch. The good thing is it will probably be $25-30 a month after launch on PC

I played a lot of the beta and then family members took over my profile and finished it up to level 40. I enjoyed it. There are certainly things they need to tweaked a bit.

I haven’t played a beta of COD like this in some time. I liked most of the changes and the lag performance issues were much improved on the second weekend than the first. I can see it getting old quick depending on the maps dlc etc, and how they manage that.

I agree there was a bit of a learning curve but once you got the hang of it and the heal became muscle memory it became a lot of fun. I like Black Ops 3 as well so consider that. The healing adds to the game in a way I never anticipated.

OMG I hated the money mode (whatever it was called) copy of CSGO Mode. Just really really you can not compete with CSGO just stop it.

I think the battle royale mode could be fun or a complete disaster. We will see in September. Keeping an open mind.

Call Of Duty: Black Ops 4’s Blackout Beta Start Date Announced

PS4 owners will be able to try the battle royale-style mode first this September.

Activision has announced the first beta session for Call of Duty: Black Ops 4’s Blackout mode. As was the case with this month’s private multiplayer beta, the first Blackout test will be reserved exclusively for PS4 players and is scheduled to kick off on September 10.

Blackout is Black Ops 4’s take on battle royale. Aside from a brief glimpse in the game’s latest trailer, however, Activision hasn’t shared many details about the mode yet. Likewise, the publisher didn’t provide much information as to what the Blackout beta will entail, but the official Call of Duty Twitter account revealed that players will have three different options to play the mode: solos, duos, and quads.

To get access to the Blackout beta, you’ll need to pre-order a copy of Black Ops 4. While the first session will only be available on PS4, Activision will host additional beta sessions for other platforms at a later date. Xbox One owners will likewise need to pre-order the game to participate in the Blackout beta, but PC players will be able to jump in even without reserving the title.

Black Ops 4’s Blackout mode was first announced at E3 this past June. Developer Treyarch says it features the largest map the studio has ever created–approximately 1,500 times larger than Nuketown. The developer also revealed the mode draws heavily from previous Black Ops games and features ground, air, and sea vehicles–although last we heard, Treyarch was still undecided on Blackout’s player count.

Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 releases for PS4, Xbox One, and PC on October 12. In addition to Blackout, the game will launch with an expanded Zombies mode. However, it won’t feature a traditional single-player campaign; instead, players will be able to undertake a series of solo missions that focus on each of Specialist character.
