Cyberpunk 2077 is available to pre-load on Xbox consoles now

CD Projekt Red has announced that Cyberpunk 2077 is now available to pre-download and install on Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S consoles.

If you’ve already pre-ordered a digital copy of the game, you should be able to download Cyberpunk directly from the Microsoft Store. However, if you haven’t pre-ordered a digital copy, you can still download the full 60GB file ready for when your disc arrives. The Xbox app for both iOS and Android introduced a new feature recently that lets users remotely download and install games they haven’t purchased to save time. Simply search for the game on the app, hit “download to console” and choose which console you want to install the game on. When the game launches on December 10th, you’ll be able to play from midnight local time.

Those who have managed to get hold of the game early are reporting large pre-release patches that need to be installed. Twitter user DreamcastGuy received a copy to review and had to install a large 43.5GB on his Xbox. Many including DreamcastGuy believed that would be the day one update for Cyberpunk; however, CDPR’s PR manager Fabian Döhla replied to the tweet saying, “it’s an update but - fun twist - not the update we’ll have for launch,” which suggests there might be another update to download on day one.

Cyberpunk 2077 launches on December 10th for Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S via backwards compatibility.
