Some quick tips on what links can be embeded into our forums here @ forums.grimreapergamers.com
TL/DR: for embedding just grab the URL do not worry about getting the embed code. Supported sites are listed below.
For embedding our forum software uses what is called OneBox.
Onebox is a library for turning media URLs into simple HTML previews of the resource.
Onebox currently has support for page, image, and video URLs for many popular sites.
It’s great if you want users to input URLs and have your application convert them into rich previews for display. For example, a link to a YouTube video would be automatically converted into a video player.
This removes the need to grab messy embed code from the site and paste it into the editor. all you need is the url from what you are trying to embed.
For example a twitter link “https://twitter.com/GrimReaperGamrz/status/525069056571764736” will covnert to
https://twitter.com/GrimReaperGamrz/status/525069056571764736
You will see it in the preview box on the editor auto-magically convert. If it does not then its not supported.
Nerd Info: This works for sites that support oEmbed or Open Graph. If it does, then it can be embedded with onebox
