After years of considering but always never doing, I have ordered a gaming PC. Should be up and running in roughly 2 weeks time. Very excited!
MOTHERBOARD: MSI Z97 PC MATE ATX w/ GbLAN, 2 PCIe x16, 1 PCIe x1, 2 PCI, 6x SATA 6Gb/s
CPU: Intel® Core™ i5-4690K 3.5 GHz 6MB Intel Smart Cache LGA1150
VIDEO: EVGA FTW Edition NVIDIA GeForce GTX 750Ti 2GB GDDR5 PCIe 3.0 x16 Video
HDD: 128GB SanDisk SSD + 2TB SATA III Hard Drive Combo
Wish I had more money to throw at it but I think this will do fine for me. I can always upgrade down the road.

Nice! What games are you looking at playing? Of course Guild Wars 2, but anything else?
Have always wanted to go the higher end computer gaming route but am way too lazy.
No idea. Once I’m up and running I’ll be looking for suggestions.
Nice! Far cry 4 is nice on pc. Gw2 is beautiful. I love gaming on pc. I just built one myself
Congrats you just got a $1000 machine to look at porn and play solitaire.

And it’s worth every penny as well. Porn on a Geforce GTX 760 with surround sound is the shit!
I don’t really know if I want hi def graphics in porn being able to see every bump on an ass.
No Goatse in HD? Come on. You’re missing out.
I’m so excited I can hardly contain myself. It’s a brutal waiting game for it to show up at my house. My new shiny penny!!!
How much RAM will it come with?
8GB RAM. I can always upgrade if I need to but I think 8 is pretty standard, no?
8 is the minimum these days. I typically go with 16 at least when I’m building.
Easy enough to upgrade to 16. I’ll start off with the 8 and see how it goes.
Yeah, you can likely get another 8 under a hundred bucks.
I tried to get him to upgrade everything but his wallet (wifey) wouldn’t have it.
PC has shipped. Going across the country so I won’t see it until Tuesday. That much closer though. At least now it’s on the move and headed my way!
Out for delivery today. Shit is getting real now!!! Haha. Really excited to get this check out and setup. What test should I run to make sure everything is running as it should? Systems test, processor tests, RAM tests… shit like that…? Anyone have advice in that area?
