still have a man crush on fat thor

Over all, I enjoyed it. Definitely a couple WTF moments, (girl power), and capt marvel crushes thanos’ ship but struggles with him? That character is a turd(still)! I thought the ones we lost went out well and it was good tribute. Ten years vested and they treated Tony well(pepper saying they are ok now) and Cap getting to be with Peggy was great. It was upsetting but done pretty respectful to characters. Wasn’t planning black widow going out like that.

I’m glad that a lot of fan therories(most good) did not go the way expected. Kudos to not having many leaks there.

Just watched a second time…I noticed the iron gauntlet was the right hand and the original infinity gauntlet was the left…I’m sure that’s gotta be some reference to the comic book not some crazy “we need both gauntlets” storylines in the future…right?

Different people made them.

Why do they think Loki is still alive? Thanos killed him well before the snap, right?

Also, my daughter told me a new one…
Your momma’s so fat, Thanos had to snap twice.
I LOL’ed

this is the spoilers thread… Loki picked up the cube after battle of NY…and disappeared…this changes that timeline and allows him to live in a branch timeline…just as cap lived in a branch timeline…

if you watched the spider man trailer you will see that this crap (basically everything from endgame) fucks the timeline…creates multiverse and alts of characters…or so the nerds say

I figured the Spiderman trailer was just happening after the end of Endgame. And I get that Loki…

Aww fuck it. I don’t care enough. They’re gonna create some new shit and justify it somehow. As long as it’s entertaining, who cares? Well, the nirds do. But who else?

I’m more fucked up by the reality that the people who survived and lived or died for 5 years all of a sudden have to deal with putting their lives back together like nothing happened… except my wife hasn’t aged and I’m been dealing with the grief of losing her for 5 years and finally decided to start dating men and doing meth. Sorry, honey, this is me now. Or what about the people that couldn’t deal and just killed themselves? Now Suzy wakes up 5 years later and to find out her husband went crazy and killed her son and himself. All those people that hawkeye murdered? They have families that just snapped back like nothing happened. Or the person in intense pain with terminal cancer that died peacefully… snapped back, still sick and suffering. Thanks a lot fuckface.

yup…the 5 year jump is real messy…kid’s gf in hs is now married with a job and kids…thank goodness Thanos snap-killed Mary Jane too…or that could have been her

“5 year jump” is nothing. Think of poor Cap’s 80 year jump back in time.

FYI, I just watched Avengers Endgame. FYI, you fanboys don’t want my opinion.

Yeah, Space / Time Magic. Whatever.

I do! I want to hear what the chief grumpkin has to say.

I’m doing this for @Claude505. For everyone else, feel free to disagree with me. I don’t mind. Don’t get upset or angry, it’s just my opinion. Which I’m allowed to have. If you did enjoy the movie then I’m happy for you and by all means continue to watch Marvel flicks.

I always feel as though a movie should stand on it’s own and not require additional movies to understand the plot. We shouldn’t have to watch 22 dreadful superhero movies just to get an idea of WTF is going on with Endgame. That’s my biggest gripe. If it’s a serialized show then just put it on Netflix. A 3 hour movie shouldn’t fucking need additional movies to make sense. Was the Thanos snap story line so important that we needed 22 movies to tell it? I bet the writers are all having a wonderful circle jerk and are so smug “hee hee, we milked 22 movies to get here”.

Way too many characters. This was a fan service mess of a movie and they tried to cram everyone in for their 15 minutes of fame and that took away from the main Avengers. There’s no real hero or heroes to get interested in because there is just way too many in them.

Can we have an Avenger’s movie that doesn’t involve fighting an army of “X” (robots, aliens, grumpy cats, whatever). Avengers 1, they fought hordes of aliens. Avengers 2, they fought hordes of robots. Avengers 3, they fought hordes of aliens again. Avengers Endgame…fuck off. aliens again… Rinse, repeat… Are there just no groups of Super Villains to fight? What’s worse is the fact there is no real sense of dread or danger in these giant battle scenes. No one of importance is dying so there isn’t any real danger. Just boring, fan service scenes of our heroes beating on faceless enemies.

Time Travel… I’m not even going there. Stupid way to solve a problem.

Thanos fighting Captain America, Iron Man and Thor didn’t make any sense. We saw Thanos beat the brakes off the most powerful superhero in the Marvel Universe, the Hulk. He beat him with ease. The Hulk, who is indestructible and only gets stronger the more he rages. Yet, Captain America barely gets a black eye fighting Thanos. “oh but he had the power of a god with Mjolnir” says the Marvel fanboi. Fuck off with that. He whooped Hulk, he’ll whoop whiny Steve Rogers all day everyday.

AntMan’s Quantum Realm. See my above thoughts on Time Travel… Lazy fucking writing.

While Ronin is cool and all, what was the point? You’re wrapping up 22 movies into a 3 hour “masterpiece”, why waste the time with that story? It’s not like he had any extra powers or did anything of value. Being Ronin didn’t move the story along and he could of accomplished everything he did as Hawkeye.

All that said, I do like Chris Hemsworth’s Thor. He plays that character so well. Even fat, depressed Thor is fun to watch.

Overall, this was just a bad movie. And I say that as a huge Comic book fan. Do you want to see an interesting and original Superhero story? Then watch The Boys on Amazon.

I thought it was an alright movie but for the most part @Lala_Calamari has good points and also I can not debate you because The Boys was fucking awesome. I’m just gonna miss Robert Downey jr. as iron man, the rest I dont care about do whatever with the next phase I’ll still watch

He was good. I’ll never know why he had to die (other than contract issues). Just let the character be.

Do you honestly think it was a good movie?? Seriously? Sure it concluded the 22 movie arc but was it any good?

I hope they steer away from doing this type of thing for the rest of the Marvel movies. I’d like to see them focus on making actual good movies with interesting plots and fun characters.

I think it was super ambitious and super cool that it “worked” what I mean is for movies to have multiple stars (main characters that have carried their own movies) and still tell a story…never been done…was it a mess, sure was it fun, yup…should they (any studio really) do it again…only if they have a better story to tell b/c now cross over stuff will be compared to this
