Forza Horizon 4 (Mega Thread)

I was likely getting this anyway but the Bond pack made it a done deal.

The game sure is pretty. Having a ton of fun with it. My biggest issue is driving on the left hand side of the road.

You actually pick a side? Fuck that, I take up the whole road.

Like Lala said it is beautiful. I spent the last hour tonight just driving and finding all the roads.

FYIā€¦ The game is made with Dolby Atmos support for those of you that have it.

Free via Xbox yes?

Negative. I think itā€™s $15. Windows Sonic is free and that is what I have been using.

Thatā€™s the oneā€¦ Ty

FYI tatersā€¦ If you donā€™t have this, you are wrong! Gorgeous causal driver that is gonna be a ton of fun with friends!

To add to what @Gunny said 12 of us can play together at once. All on the same map taking part in the same activities or doing your own thing.

Forza Horizon 4 Patch Fixes Antique Restorer Achievement

Playground Games has regularly been issuing patches for Forza Horizon 4 since its release at the start of last month. The latest patch arrives today and fixes one of the most prominent issues for TA members: the Antique Restorer achievement will now unlock for players when they locate all of the Barn Finds. There are plenty other fixes and quality of life improvements also included, and you can find a list of them below.

  • Route Blueprint fliers now show ā€œCustom Routeā€ to distinguish then from other Blueprints.
  • Added a Report button to Designs, Tunes, Photos, Vinyls in the Creative Hub menu.
  • Fixed an issue where some players were not prompted to join the session.
  • Reduced the chance of sessions failing to start in Ranked Team Adventure following successful matchmaking.

The patch is due to arrive today, so make sure to keep your eyes open if youā€™re one of those people who were the victim of the bugged achievement.

New DLC in December.

Thatā€™s probably enough to sell you on it. It comes out next week on December 13th.

Alongside the launch of ā€œFortune Islandā€, Playground Games also released the fourth update for Forza Horizon 4, bringing with it a host of new content and experiences as well as a slew of fixes and improvements. The highlights of the update are the Horizon Life MP Update, improvements to Photo Mode and the Horizon Holiday Party.

The Horizon Life MP Update will allow players to create a multiplayer event, post it to the Activity Panel and then return to Freeroam while waiting for other players to join. The previous 40-second limit has now been removed, so you can wait for as long as you like for players to join before starting the session.

Improvements have also been made to Photo Mode. Players can now separately toggle vehicle lights, drivers, wildlife, and crowds in order to get their photographs just the way they want them. In addition, there are new bokeh, focus, and sampling options, as well as an increased freedom of movement with the photo camera.

Of course, it is the holiday season, and Forza Horizon 4 players will be able to get in the spirit with a selection of new holiday-themed items. Twelve new festive clothing options are all available from Season Events, The Trial, Wheelspins, and the Forzathon Shop.

Forza Horizon 4 Series 8 Update Brings Changes for Online Adventure

The Series 8 update for Forza Horizon 4 is due to arrive this week. The update brings along changes for Online Adventure, including a new mode; the addition of a drift camera; the ā€œBarrett-Jackson Car Packā€, and new rewards for completing the Festival Playlist.

The Online Adventure has received a new mode in Quick Play and Ranked. Drift Adventure tasks players with taking part in Drift Championships that take place other three races. Here the focus is more on drifting than driving quickly, with points scored for your angle and drift speed while on asphalt. Players will get time to complete a few laps of the track per race, and only their best lap will be included in the leaderboard. Earning a rank in this new mode will fulfil the requirements of the Online Adventure category in the Festival Playlist.

As well as the new mode, the S2 Class and B Class have been removed from the Dirt Racing Championships. Freeroam Rush events have been removed from the Asphalt and Street Race Championships too. Finally, all collisions have been deactivated for the first 30 seconds of each race, a rule that has also been applied to the Horizon Life PvP races.

Those taking part in the new Drift Adventure may be interested in the new Drift Camera. The cameraā€™s viewpoint follows the direction of travel in the cockpit view. This can be activated in the HUD and Gameplay settings.

The ā€œBarrett-Jackson Car Packā€ arrived in Forza Motorsport 7 back in January, and the pack is now arriving in Forza Horizon 4 . The pack includes several cars from ā€œdecades pastā€ ā€” the 1963 Shelby Monaco King Cobra, 1970 Chevrolet Chevelle Super Sport Barrett-Jackson Edition, 1975 Ford Bronco Barrett-Jackson Edition, 1932 Ford Custom Double Down, 1932 Ford Roadster Hula Girl, 1959 Plymouth Atomic Punk Bubbletop, and 1970 Plymouth Hemi Cuda Convertible. The pack is available for free to those who own the Forza Horizon 4 Car Pass, or can be purchased separately by those who donā€™t.

The new Series also brings along new rewards for completing the Festival Playlist. Those who reach 50% completion in the Festival Playlist will receive the 2016 Alfa Romeo Giulia Quadrifoglio Forza Edition, while those who reach 80% completion will get the 2010 Ford Crown Victoria Police Interceptor. There are similar rewards for the individual seasons too:

Season 50% Completion Reward 80% Completion Reward
Summer Season 2018 Mercedes-AMG GT 4-Door CoupƩ 1969 Hot Wheels Twin Mill
Autumn Season 2012 Ferrari 599XX Evolution 2011 Hot Wheels Bone Shaker
