Buzzsaw-wielding villain Gladiator may be making an appearance in Daredevil: Season 2, according to a tease posted on the show’s official Twitter account.
“I gotta be good. So I make things. I’m good at making things,” reads the Tweet. The post was also accompanied by an image of the blueprint for Daredevil’s suit and a buzzsaw labeled with the initials “MP.”
“MP,” of course, are the initials of Gladiator’s true identity, Melvin Potter. Played by Matt Gerald in Season 1, Potter was the man Matt Murdock tasked with crafting the Daredevil suit we see in the season finale. While there’s no official word from Marvel, the tease, at the very least, raises the chances of a Gladiator appearance in Season 2.
If the villain does show up next season, Matt Murdock will certainly have his hands full; The Walking Dead’s Jon Bernthal recently joined the cast as The Punisher, while Elodie Yung (G.I. Joe Retaliation, The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo) will play Elektra in Daredevil: Season 2. Daredevil: Season 2 is currently in production and will premiere in 2016.
