GTA Hesist Tips

FOLLOW THE LEADER
First things first: every Heist needs a leader and the Heist Leader is going to need to be at least rank 12 and own a high-end apartment with a planning board in order to co-ordinate the crime. Not only do Heist Leaders cough up all of the setup costs up-front, they have complete control over team roles and the cut of the final take each Crew Member gets. Additionally, Heist progress is only saved for the Heist Leader - so when choosing a leader it makes sense to link up with someone you can trust.

ALL TALK
It should go without saying that good teamwork starts with communication - and headsets are important to successfully pulling off Heists. Whether it’s telling a lookout where they need to be, a passenger locating vehicles using the Trackify app and giving directions to the driver, or two infiltrators operating a pair of security panels in perfect sync.

ROLL CALL
At different stages of each Heist, Crew members will be assigned different roles. These could be slightly different responsibilities within a single scenario - for example, two lookouts and a bodyguard while a buyer completes a less-then-legal exchange of information - or larger deviations, like two players patrolling in an attack chopper above while the other two infiltrate a facility below. It’s important for all players to know their strengths and, in turn, for the Heist Leader to assign accordingly. If you see yourself as an ace pilot, then put in some time at the Flight School and increase that flying stat to prove it.

TOOL UP
Professionals don’t expect the customer to provide the tools for the job. While there might be some more specialized equipment that may be provided (or that you’ll need to acquire) along the way, for the most part you’ll be using your own custom vehicles and firearms to get by. So it’s a good time to take stock and make sure your garage and your arsenal are prepared for all possibilities. Silencers on guns and RPGs in general are especially useful for certain Heists while four-door vehicles with added armor can come in handy if you like to keep your friends close. With GTA Online Heists you’ll be able to unlock a range of new vehicles and gear including an extensive selection of new outfits perfect for whatever each Heist throws at you.

BONUS ROUND
For the financially ambitious there are a few ways to increase the income from Heists in a major way. First off, each Heist has its own Elite Challenge which, upon completion, will yield a substantial cash bonus. These can be completed multiple times, but be warned: they’re no cakewalk.
On top of that, there are Special Heist Completion bonuses that can only be achieved once per person, but will add some serious zeros to your bank balance. They are as follows:
First Time – Completing each Heist Finale for the first time, will net you a bonus cash reward
All In Order Challenge – Complete all Heists in order, including Setups, to receive a $1,000,000 cash bonus
Loyalty Challenge – Complete all Heists, including Setups, with the same team of players to receive an additional $1,000,000 bonus
Criminal Mastermind Challenge – Complete all Heists, in order, with the same group of players, without losing any lives, to receive a massive $10,000,000 bonus
The one-off bonus challenges are linked to in game awards. You can monitor your award progress via the Stats > Awards tab in the Pause Menu.

We to try to get the Criminal Mastermind challenge done on day one. LOL.

Looking at those tips, I need to gear up. I’m not sure I have a rocket launcher yet. I need to work on that.

None of us do that I know of. You have to be level 100.

I do however have a homing missile launcher. It was an event special.

I have setup 4 cars for heist. They all have bulletproof tires and the most armor I can give them. As well as full performance upgrades.

I would like to volunteer for the “driver/pilot” role. As well as any other really.

Ocelot Jackal

Bravado Buffalo Sport

Benefactor Dubsta

Kanis Mesa

can’t believe i got rid of my mesa… thing is slow anyway but looks so bad ass.

I have one of those suburbans with can hold 8 ppl. 4 inside and 4 hanging on the sides… doesnt look like we’ll have mroe than 4 tho… have plenty of 4 door cars.

Where did you get the Kanis Mesa??? I want that Jeep!

Also, we really should get on and trade races to get engine upgrades.

To get that jacked up version you have to pull up your phone and call Merryweather to send mercenaries after a friend or random person. Find where the person is that you sent Merryweather after and still one of their Mesas. Once you do that evade them if needed and go pimp it.

I have been doing races all day by myself because for some reason it won’t people me in a world or lobby with other people. YAY!

This one? I just added it to my Heist collection.

yep that one.

@D1G1TALC1PHERS is hard core. I can’t wait to shoot his tires out or TK him.

I’m looking forward to this. It might revive the game for me.

It is for a lot of us

Looks like the technical is a mission only item. I didn’t see it in the store, nor did I see a upgrade in the custom shop.

Oh Yea heist are live bitches!

Good thing I stored 4 yesterday

Any trucks with guns available to purchase?

Wonder if out had same stats as the normal one

Some more tips and trouble shooting for connection issues.

Hard Reset Everything
Doing a Hard Reset of all of your equipment is definitely something that can help with online performance. If you aren’t sure how to do a hard reset, follow these steps:

Xbox One: Hold your finger on the Xbox button on your Xbox One console. Keep holding it for several seconds before the console shuts itself off.
Xbox 360: Unplug your Xbox 360 from everything for a few minutes, then plug it all back in
Also try doing the same for your modem. For most models, unplug the power cable as well as the coaxial cable. Wait a few minutes, then plug everything back in.

Again, these tips aren’t a sure-fire fix, but they definitely can help.

Turn it off, and turn it on again
The jokes are mostly true, if you are having problems logging into GTA Online and you don’t want to power cycle everything, just try to turn off GTA Online and turn it back on again. This could get you into a new game session that is running smoother.

Lester Isn’t Calling
If you can’t seem to find the Heists, make sure you are meeting all of the requirements for them. If you just want the quick run-down of what you need to do, here you go. I’ll explain each step further below if you are confused. Also, if you have already completed a heist Lester will wait some time before calling you back. Be patient and try out some of the other new game modes just added today.

Heist Leader must be level 12 or higher
Heist Leader must own a high-end apartment with a planning board
Heist Leader must have enough money to front the cost of the heist him/herself
Heist Leader
This role is arguably the most important role in any heist. The Heist Leader is a player who decides he or she wants to run their own heist mission. To do this, players must be level 12 or higher and own a high-end apartment with a planning board. From here, the Heist Leader gets to decide what heist to tackle, what players will take on each role, and how much of the final cut each player will take in. Heist progress is only saved with the Heist Leader, so make sure you follow a trusted Leader into battle.

Apartments
The Heist Leader will need a high-end apartment in order to organize a heist. Thanks to the GTA Wiki , we now have a full list of all of the high-end apartments, where they are located, and how much each one costs.

Other Players
While you don’t get to do what you want on a heist, you should cater to a set of special skills. If you want to be the pilot, start pumping up your flying stats. If you want to be the sniper/lookout, get your shooting stats going. The Heist Leader will still get to ultimately decide your role, but at least you can make compelling arguments for your preferred positions. Also, all players including the Heist Leader will not be given special gear or vehicles to perform heists. This means that you may want to stock up on a variety of items like silenced guns, big trucks, smaller cars, melee weapons, and everything else to cover all of your bases. The Heists update will include new gear to unlock, but having some equipment beforehand is going to really help.

All Players
Rockstar stressed the importance for all players to be wearing a headset while playing Heists. This is to ensure active communication between all players involved. Communication will be key to performing a successful heist with timing and coordination of movements being crucial to certain tasks. Make sure you’re wired up and ready to go.
