I have never really played D&D in real life. Growing up, that stuff didn’t interest me. Now it does. About a year ago, I met a guy on Google+ that took me and I guy I use to work with through a short adventure one night using Swords and Wizardry rules. We played on Google Hangouts and had a blast. I am looking for a few people to try this with again. Not set on any certain rule set. Just want to try and get a group together once or twice a month. I have one or two guys from PPC that are interested.
Sounds good. That makes 4 maybes. If we can get another 1 or 2, we can start working out the details. I know one of the PPC guys plays with a group in real life. He is much more knowledgeable than I am about this stuff. I will keep you posted.
I’m afraid that is going to be the hard part. Finding a time when everyone can get together can be a problem. I know with my sons’ baseball and basketball schedules, I am not even sure when I can commit.
Nice. I wish we would wait. Youngest plays travel ball and they play if it’s snowing. Older son is in middle school so they take off for weather. My youngest will be done in June but is playing in Daytona Beach 3rd week in July. That shouldn’t be too hot.
Yes. The one time I did it, we used Hangouts and it worked really well. That is one of two times I have ever played. That time we played using rules from a free game called Swords & Wizardry. I was told is is similar to old D&D. The other time I played was at a board game convention and we played using rules from another game called Pathfinder.
There is also a site called Roll20 that does the same thing but allows you to include a map if you wish with characters on the map. I have not messed around with that but it seems to be very poplular.
