Newby To GTA

I played once or twice a long time ago. Finally decided to give this game a real try. So what do you recommend a newby to start with? Do I need to do the story first to earn points or money? Jump right in to multiplayer? What’s the best strategy for a game like this?

I guess it just depends on your play style. Nothing done in single player will affect your multiplayer experience. However, I do recommend playing the story line as it will help get you used to the setup/controls. Also, the story is pretty good too. I’ve played through it 3 times now, never gets boring to me.

I think you have to start with the tutorial driving mission, but once that’s done, you can choose story or online.

I’m running some GTA V tomorrow night if you want to join in on some MP and level up. Heists will be out in a few weeks, and you will have to be level 12 to participate.

also, please join the GRG clan/gang/group on rockstar social

H2, you’re not allowed in my fancy high rise apartment. You get Evolve’s tranny cave. Suck it noob!

Welcome to the GTA world. The more the merrier. Let’s setup a night to all get together and trash Lala’s apartment.

After we spend 75 minutes trying to all join.

I hear that. The one real thing that pisses me off about GTA Online. Initial load in takes forever, I can handle that as a one time thing, but struggling to get everyone you want into a session is painful at best. It’s really unfortunate because the game is so much fun to play with friends. We can only hope it gets better. :disappointed:

I’m thinking of getting on tonight and trying the Snipers and Stunters game mode online again. We tried to play that last night, but we were having network issues for a while.

When you can get into an online game, the chaos is a load of fun. I haven’t done as much story mode since I went to the new gen version, though.

Its pretty easy to get a private server with everyone on psn :stuck_out_tongue:

That’s not an issue with the XBox as well. I really think someone’s NAT was fucked up. GTA Online is ridiculously sensitive to Moderate and Strict NATs. I’ve never seen it as bad as it was last night. It really ruined the game for me.

It’s very possible it was someone’s NAT. I started to think mine was an issue, but things smoothed out. I went into settings and double checked at one point. I know I had to do a hard reboot on my Xbox initially when I get on last night. Once in a while, the XBox won’t read your drive if you have it set up for instant on, so you have to hard reboot.

yeah i have a hard time hearing some people but others in the party can hear them fine. i think it has something to do with NAT settings.
