Next Call of Duty Rumours and Leaks

Prominent Call of Duty leaker TheGamingRevolution claims to have revealed information about Treyarch’s upcoming Black Ops reboot, possibly named Black Ops 5, covering multiplayer, zombies and campaign leaks.

According to reports from multiple sources, Treyarch are taking Black Ops back to its roots. With Treyarch at the helm, and Sledgehammer/Raven Software taking a backseat in the development of Activision’s next Call of Duty, it would make sense to return back to familiar territory.

And in a similar fashion to Infinity Ward, Treyarch look set to reboot their flagship franchise with a prequel of their own, according to the YouTuber. It should be noted that the information cannot be verified.

According to TheGamingRevolution, Call of Duty’s next storyline will revolve around the events of the Cold War.

Per TheGamingRevolution’s sources, Treyarch will be taking fans back to the Cold War era. Moreover, as YouTuber LongSensation claimed in August 2019, the narrative will span across the entirety of the four decades of the Cold War and will include both Vietnam and Korean Wars.

`

Call of Duty 2020
has been under 2 names thus far.

Ops
Call of Duty: Black Ops V

Set during
the Cold War. Spans the entire 40+ years and incs Vietnam and Korean
War. Described as even more gritty and gruesome than Modern Warfare.

I'm not joking.

Moreover, the next iteration in the series will utilize Infinity Ward’s brand-new game engine, which was developed for Modern Warfare.

Although this information is completely unconfirmed, the leaker does have a proven track record of accurate leaks about Modern Warfare, including the Gunfight mode and the battle royale, Warzone.

Black Ops 5: Multiplayer leak

Here’s the main points from TheGamingRevolution’s March 18 leak:

  • Large player-count (32-vs-32) modes are returning.
  • There will be an ice-based map for Ground War (set in Vietnam), featuring snowmobiles and tanks as a mode of transport.
  • 6v6 maps will be three-lane maps and will resemble Treyarch’s style — “more formulaic and less cluttered.”
  • One six-vs-six map is based around a warehouse unit with an open field as the mid-lane – resembling ‘no-man’s land’ – and a sniper tower.
  • Health regeneration is not automatic (subject to playtester feedback).
  • UAV, Counter-UAV and dog killstreak returning.
  • Operators from Modern Warfare are also coming back.
  • Multiplayer DLC will be free, using a similar model to Modern Warfare.
  • No supply drops, per Activision’s new content model.

Black Ops 5: Zombies leak

  • Set to feature different ways to play and will be different to previous versions of the fan-favorite mode.
  • But, perks (such as Pack-A-Punch) and other classic Zombies features will return.
  • TranZit will be back and available on disc.
  • Aether reboot is in the pipeline.
  • Chaos is not returning; set to be an entirely new story.
  • “More realistic and grounded” Zombies experience coming, as opposed to previous ‘fantasy’ versions.
  • Nothing set in stone, but Zombie ‘season pass’ is “in the works.”
  • Rumored Vietnam-based storyline.

Black Ops 5: Campaign leak

  • Alex Mason and Sgt. Frank Woods are set to return, but with new actors.
  • New storyline will explore real-life events of the Cold War, but will thread into Black Ops’ existing narrative.
  • Alex Mason to feature in the first mission.
  • Campaign will be told from multiple perspectives, to tie in various storylines.

Alongside the plethora of information above, TheGamingRevolution stated that Sledgehammer are developing a free-to-play Call of Duty game that is set to be released in 2021. Perhaps this could be their venture into the battle royale market.

While there is plenty of information on the development of Treyarch’s next title, LongSensation also revealed on March 17 that the next installment in the franchise “isn’t looking so great” — with the current global pandemic potentially playing its role in delaying any headway being made.

`

2020 CoD
isn't looking so great atm. It's also possible that the
#coronavirus
and compulsory shutdowns could cause a game delay. This doesn't
just apply to Call of Duty, but likely to a lot of games we all know
and love.

While TheGamingRevolution has accurately leaked information pertaining to Call of Duty in the past, it is important that you take everything with a pinch of salt, as all of the above information is subject to change.

My personal take is they should skip a new CoD for this year, put all that talent on Cod:MW and get new maps and items out.
Make some coin with beefy update with new maps and maybe an operator.
This virus is going to screw things up big time, maybe it is best that companies put somethings on hold and just work with what you have now and make it better for another year.

RUMOR: Call of Duty 2020 will be Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War

A new rumor that has been posted on Twitter by Okami, who has leaked accurate information on the Call of Duty franchise in the past (including info on Warzone’s release and more), claims to reveal the name of the 2020 Call of Duty game.

In a new tweet, he says the name of the game is Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War .

He used an image of Black Ops 1’s box art and added ‘Cold War’ underneath BLACK OPS. Of course, this image is not the actual box art (in case you were wondering…)

Activision has not officially announced the details or name of the 2020 Call of Duty game. The company has been very hush hush this year and has not even officially (on the record) confirmed Treyarch as the lead developer for this year’s game.

The rumors for 2020 Call of Duty that have been circulating suggest the game is set in the Cold War era and has connections to the Black Ops world, which would line up with the name.

Activision has not announced any details on the 2020 game, and we don’t have a reveal timeframe yet. Call of Duty games usually get announced by May, with Modern Warfare last year the latest reveal at the end of May.

Update : EuroGamer reports that their sources have confirmed to them that Call of Duty 2020 is Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War.

Stay tuned for news on Call of Duty 2020.

Call of Duty: Warzone to see map revamp

According to a new report from VGC outlet, which has accurately leaked information on the Call of Duty franchise, the new bunker teasers that users have found in Call of Duty: Warzone are being built in a way that will trigger some sort of a map revamp for the game.

With the newest update that released this week for Modern Warfare and Warzone, users have found key cards to access a variety of Bunkers in the Warzone world. In those bunkers, users have found nuclear warheads, screens showcasing a variety of unknown points, new weapons, and more.

VGC says that they have been told this nuclear warhead teaser is going to lead to a map revamp of sorts, similar to how Fortnite revamped their maps.

It’s likely that the nuclear warhead discovered under Warzone’s map will be used to trigger a map revamp, VGC was told, similar to how Fortnite used an in-game event to transition to Chapter 2.

We are unable to verify this information at the time of the writing. VGC, alongside Eurogamer, both report that the nuclear warheads and other cold war based items found are teasing the 2020 Call of Duty game, which is set to be Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War, per reports.

Stay tuned.

According to a new rumor from leaker LongSensation, whose original Twitter account was suspended, and he’s now on a secondary Twitter, some fan favorite maps from the Black Ops world will be included in Call of Duty 2020.

Call of Duty 2020 is currently rumored to be called Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War and take place in the Black Ops universe after Black Ops 1.

The rumor from LongSensation claims that four fan favorite maps have been remastered and ready to be part of the 2020 title, alongside new maps being made for the game.

The rumor claims Nuketown, Jungle, Firing Range, and Summit are currently set to be part of the 2020 Call of Duty game.

Should have just remastered the original at this
rate.

`

Having another version of Nuketown is a Black Ops game would not be a surprise as every Black Ops game has had a Nuketown map.

In another tweet, he claims that the 2020 game will not have its own Battle Royale, but will have Warzone implemented into its options menu for players interested in a Battle Royale experience.

`

The current plan
is for Warzone to be somehow integrated into CoD 2020. It's
likely that Warzone will be accessible via the CoD 2020 menu. This is
because CoD 2020 will not have its own Battle Royale
mode.

As always, this information is not officially confirmed by Activision and should be treated as rumor until it is.

Activision has not yet announced any details on the 2020 Call of Duty game. The company says that the game is “looking great” and on “track for release” later this year, but has not provided an estimate as to when to expect a reveal.

This year’s Call of Duty reveal will be the latest reveal for a Call of Duty title in over a decade. Modern Warfare’s May 30, 2019 was the latest reveal for a Call of Duty game in the last 10 years, and now this year’s title will be even later, probably due to changes with COVID-19.

New details on Call of Duty 2020 reportedly leaked – Modes, Features, And More

Update: Xclusive Ace has now set the video to private. We have a summary of some of the details he shared below.

Original Story:

YouTuber XclusiveAce has posted a new, extensive video on his YouTube Channel today with what he says is new information on the 2020 Call of Duty game from a “source” that has shown him actual gameplay, video footage, map overviews, and more from the game itself.

It does not reveal who his source is, but based on what he said it the video, it does appear to be someone who is testing/QA part of the game as he says this person does not know the name of the title.

In his video, he reveals the following information on the 2020 game, and says the game will feature Zombies, Campaign, MP, alongside Warzone.

  • 2020 game is in fact set during Cold War era
  • Game is “actually in a good state” with “MP maps almost done.”
  • Campaign is “fully playable state” but not all animations are complete yet
  • He says there will be a new map for Warzone with 2020 game, and says he has seen an “overview of the new Warzone map.”
  • Standard Mini-Map is back, similar to previous Call of Duty games prior to Modern Warfare
  • Even with standard mini-map back, there is also a compass (which was introduced in Modern Warfare)
  • Swimming mechanic returns, and there will be water in MP maps alongside water in the new “Warzone map.”
  • Unlimited sprint is back.
  • No interact doors in regular. Mechanic stays in Warzone.
  • 10 MP maps are apparently developed so far, more probably in works. Treyarch style maps.
    • One map is “very small” and a boat on the Black Sea
    • “Tank” – which is the map that was shown in the leaked gameplay earlier
  • No Specialists, but a Field Upgrade-like feature returning.
  • He says that you get one piece from equipment to choose from.
  • Scorestreaks will return.
  • There is NO Dead Silence in the game at this time. It’s not a perk. He cannot confirm how footstep audio is right now.
  • 150 Health (similar to Black Ops 4) but has auto-heal.
  • Create-A-Class is “unique.” Hybrid between Pick-10 and classic. No Gunsmith.
  • 6v6 is standard player count. There is no Gunfight mode.
  • There is “apparently a mode” in MP that takes place on various sections of the new Warzone map.
  • New Warzone map apparently takes place in Russia.

As always, this information is not fully confirmed as of now.

Activision has still not officially revealed the 2020 Call of Duty game and has not even mentioned the developer of the 2020 game. The title for the game is reportedly Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War.

A reveal date for the title is not yet known, but it is “further out” than what people expect.

A post was split to a new topic: New info on What’s Coming to Warzone?

According to users on Twitter, some users were able to actually add the ‘The Red Door’ Alpha file onto their Xbox One consoles, after it first appeared on the Xbox Store earlier this week.

When adding the actual file to the Xbox One console, it appears to carry a code name of ‘Call of Duty®: Black Ops CIA.’

This is most likely just the code name for the 2020 title being used on the Xbox platform and not the final name. The final name is reportedly set to be Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War.

The user who was able to add the actual game to their console was able to just load it up until the “Call of Duty: Black Ops” screen, which is the same screen that was leaked via the PlayStation Store’s COD2020 internal alpha build.

image

Users are not able to make it past this screen. They are being hit with a ‘error’ that says they need a code to continue.

Activision has not revealed Call of Duty 2020 title still. Rumors suggest it’s Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War and spans the entire Cold War era.

COD 2020 campaign missions & MP Maps names reportedly leaked

With “The Red Door” Call of Duty 2020 alpha appearing on Xbox One this past week, some users online have spent a lot of time attempting to dig into the actual game files to see what they can find.

Now, it appears some users haved started to actually access the files of “The Red Door” alpha on Xbox and started to share some of their learnings from the files.

One of the learnings they have found is a list of the potential campaign missions for Call of Duty 2020.

Here’s the list of campaign missions:

  • K.G.B. (Russia)
  • Siege (Russia)
  • Yamantau (Russia)
  • Takedown (Side Mission)
  • Tundra (Side Mission)
  • Hub (Germany)
  • Hub 8 (Germany)
  • Stakeout (Germany)
  • Armada (Vietnam)
  • Prisoner (Vietnam)
  • Revolucion (Nicaragua)
  • Amerika (Russia)
  • Duga (Russia)

But, it’s important to note that these are most likely internally code-names for the campaign missions – or in-development names for them as the game’s development wraps up ahead of the Q4 2020 launch of the game.

Multiplayer Maps:

There are currently 8 MP maps listed inside of the game files per the rumors. This list does match up with what was previously leaked from XclusiveAce in his now deleted video. There could be more maps in the actual game when it launches as this is a still in-development game.

  • Black Sea
  • Cartel
  • K.G.B.
  • Miami
  • Moscow
  • Satellite
  • Tank
  • Tundra

Alongside MP, there will be Zombies as the co-op mode. For Zombies , the internal code name of the map is ‘Silver.’ Treyarch is known to use color code names for Zombies map in the past.

In addition, there are references to different ‘Zones’ for a potential new map for Warzone , which is expected to carry over to the 2020 game:

  • Duga
  • Forest
  • Russia
  • Ski Slopes

So far, Activision has not announced any details still on the 2020 Call of Duty game. This has made many fans anxious to get news of the game, going as far as digging around in the game files itself now with internal alphas in order to actually get any information they can.

Activision has not commented on the internal alpha on the Xbox nor provided any details on these new leaks that are appearing.

The 2020 Call of Duty game is expected to be called Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War and set in the Cold War era. The game is going to be a launch title for the new generation consoles this holiday, alongside releasing on PS4, Xbox One, and PC.
