Star Citizen - No More ‘Alpha Access’ and the $5 module passes

So i think i can throw $5 into it to play the game instead of the very confusing $35 or $70+ packages…

Star Citizen has reached 1 million crowdfunding backers, and is celebrating by offering them all access to the entire game.

“Starting today, we are eliminating ‘Alpha Access’ and the $5 module passes,” says the announcement from Chris Roberts on the Star Citizen website. “Anyone who has pledged for a Star Citizen Package can now play today without worrying they won’t have access to some portion of the ‘Verse in the future. No Star Marine pass, no Alpha 2.0 pass… no additional payment needed for any module in the works, pre-release.”

If you did get the Alpha Access package previously, you will be awarded with 10,000 UEC, and if you purchased the Arena Commander pass, you’ll get 5,000 UEC.

“Knowing that one million people (and growing!) are counting on us will only further fuel our desire to deliver,” Roberts continues. The Star Citizen team is currently working on Alpha 2.0.

I’ve been waiting patiently for this game to launch. Thought about donating to get access to the beta. Going to continue to follow this one. Love me some space simulator gaming.

by the time this comes out my PC wont be able to handle it…

i also considered paying the stupid amount of money to play the alpha… then smartened up… it does look like a lot of fun. love space dog-fighting.

Never kickstart a game. Just don’t.
