I was browsing Lamestop to check out the pre-order bonuses. [I noticed they have Imperial edition which is a 100 bucks] 1. Is that worth it? You get the Imperial race (or class?) which is supposed to be really good (hence the extra bucks). You also get a White Imperial Horse. When TESO first started I heard the Imperial Edition was worth it due to the fact mounts were super expensive and hard to get. Is that still true now?
And I’m guessing the standard Pre-Order bonus of all races unlocked doesn’t cover the Imperial race.
And if you can play any race with the pre-order bonus, then choosing a faction doesn’t really matter. We’ll also have to figure out what race we want per class as the bonuses sound like they’re really important.
That is what I got for PC. Although I got the regular edition first and then added the imperial stuff later for $20. I don’t need all the physical items.
The horse alone was worth the $20 to me but now you can buy them in the cash store. Being able to play as Imperial’s and having races in other alliances is nice also. You have more options that way. You can buy everything listed in that edition from the Crown Store. Some individually and some in packs.
Edited to add: If you are gonna buy 1500 Crowns it is worth it just to sub for the month. In your sub you get 10% XP boost and 1500 crowns($14.99 worth) when you card is charged.
There’s an option to subscribe for the console?
I assume so. I don’t know why it would be any different.
What you get in the sub:
Access to all DLC Game Packs as long as ESO Plus™ membership is current.
1500 Crowns per 30 day membership, all Crowns given at time of payment.
+10% Upgrade to Character Progression.
Edited to add: I still have my ring of mara from PC release if anyone wants to get married we get extra XP while playing together. LOL
You better grow that beard back if you think I’m going to marry you.

If you marry Johnny in game it won’t be that bad since you would never ever see him. Kind of like a long distance relationship except the distance is he doesn’t ever sign in to play his toon.

Supposedly the Imperial Edition is worth the $, I would do It for “play any race, any faction”, but I’m gonna just build a char. based on faction choice.
Well the pre order already allows you to play any race (I’m assuming every race other than imperial).
I can’t seem to find the Imperial edition other than Lamestops Web site. Any idea if I will get it on release day if I order it?
Also, will the pre order bonuses go across xbox live accounts? My kid wants to play as well and was wondering if he would get the bonuses if he used my xbox.
Are they not offering a digital pre-order for TESO? The xbox website only shows that you can preorder the disc.
They are tied to your account. So I assume the first person to play will get the bonuses.
I haven’t seen the digital version anywhere.
Faq:
Can I pre-purchase The Elder Scrolls Online: Tamriel Unlimited for PlayStation 4 or Xbox One on the online store?
No. At this time, the console versions of The Elder Scrolls Online: Tamriel Unlimited are not available for pre-purchase on the official digital stores. However, players can pre-order the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One versions at participating retailers.
Can I upgrade to the Digital Imperial Edition?
Players who wish to upgrade to the Imperial Edition can purchase the Imperial Upgrade in the Crown Store in-game. This will allow them to receive the exclusive collection of in-game rewards available from the Digital Imperial Edition.
If players have purchased a physical copy of the Standard Edition but wish to upgrade to the Digital Imperial Edition, our upgrade service is also there to assist them.
Please note that the benefits associated with the Imperial Edition upgrade will only be made available for characters on the same megaserver (NA or EU) on which it was initially purchased. For example, players who purchased the Imperial Edition upgrade from the Crown Store while logged into a character on the NA megaserver would not receive the upgrade for their characters on the EU megaserver as well.
It’s weird they don’t have it set digitally since that will be the way PC players transfer over.
That’s all I needed to see. Don’t need the statue, steelbook cover, and whatnot. Just interested in the horse (if it’d truly help in the early game…) and buddy XP boost.
Cha Ching, cha ching, cha ching
Looks like only XBox doesn’t offer digital pre-order. It’s up on the PS Store.
