Things to know about playing World of Tanks

11 . Always have a fire extinguisher on every tank except Arty ( on Tiers IV and above , don’t on below )
12 . Always buy a ram rammer with tanks after Tier V ( helps load faster )
13 . Most tanks you have will only battle three tiers above/below yours . Some only fight 1 or 2 above/below
14 . You will learn to hate Arty . Arty is very heavy in Tiers VIII and below .
15 . Get optics for tank . ( there are two types ) These will help to see farther on map .
16 . You can not chose the map/game mode , it is auto-assigned ( for right now )
17 . There are 45 maps and more coming to game ( you only saw 6 for the beta and they where the bad ones)
18 . Camo paint and camo nets , both will reduce you being seen 5% each ( combine when you are still )
19 . Training of your crews is very important to your tanks . Perks/skills improve tank ( more on this later )
20 . To get a party started , you need to start a platoon ( only 5 to a platoon ) except in team training , where you can invite 30 people .

There is more coming but at this time I can not discuss except there is a respawn game mode coming real soon .

What’s the best way to get your crew xp up fast?

The only way is to play ( and winning a lot helps ) , Wargaming also runs 2x crew training all the time which also helps .

Speaking of crew perks/skills the most important ones to get first are :

  1. Sixth Sense
  2. Brothers in arms
  3. Repairs
    4, Camouflage
  4. Firefighting
choose all of these for ALL members of your tank crew and then branch out for the perks/skills that fit better with each member of your tank crew … Examples : Driver needs cross-country driving Commander needs Recon… Radio operator needs longer radio range skill .

For some reason, I always go recon then sixth sense, then brothers, then camo, then repairs. I don’t do fire fighting because once im on fire, its over.

For firefighting it depends on the tank.

Some are more prone to fires than others. Seems like German tanks catch fire easier if I remember.
