What are your top 3 80's TV shows?

Mine in order…

A-Team
Married with Children
Dukes of Hazard

Also like Cheers, Mash, and Alf. I could keep on.

You have a good list going. I’m going to have to see what shows where in the 80s.

Where to begin? First you need to define 80’s TV Shows. Seinfeld and Baywatch started in 1989. Do those count? If you count Seinfeld, there are only two other spots to fill. One of those easily goes to Cheers. The last one is up for debate.

Here are a few lists to get you thinking -

Mysteriously missing from one or both of those…
Wonder Years
Baywatch
Miami Vice
CHiPs
Knight Rider
Fraggle Rock
Snorks
Transformers
GI Joe
Voltron
Thunder Cats
He-Man
Jem
Max Headroom
The Kids in the Hall
Duck Tales

Knight Rider
The Greatest American Hero
Cheers

Close to the top:
Married with Children (I saw most of this in syndication, because we didn’t have a Fox affiliate until the late 80s/early 90s)
A-Team
Miami Vice (let’s pretend the last season didn’t happen, though)
Night Court
Benson

Some of that stuff like CHiPS, What’s Happening, and others I totally consider 70s shows. And some on my list were also 70/80s shows.

Bosom Buddies
Dukes of Hazzard
Three’s Company

And I am in shock that there was even a thing called Television in Nebraska back then.

The V mini series would be my #1 if that counts.

That was a great series. My parents always recorded on the VCR. I think they still have the tapes lol.

Ha, haven’t seen that in a long time

I was 9 at the end of the 80s but I’ll give it a shot.

  1. Cheers: Still extremely watchable after all this time.

  2. Miami Vice: As long as its skinny Don Johnson this show kicks ass if its fatter possibly coked out Don Johnson eh not so much.

  3. Growing pains: Mostly because I wanted to bang Tracy gold but only the skinny anorexic version nobody wants a fatty

i agree 100% it would come on TV here at the shop a few years ago and i would hear some of the jokes. “i get that!!” and a lot of the jokes still hold up. when it comes to a bar not much has changed. netflix has the whole series so ill turn it on and just let it play while i do otehr stuff

Well, for me the top three that I watched in the '80’s would’ve been:

  1. The A-Team

2. The Muppet Show

3. Fraggle Rock

But, as a I got older and started to actually watch real tv my fave 3 shows from the '80’s are:

  1. Married with Children

2. Roseanne

3. Three’s Company

Cheers. Simple. The jokes still hold up. I watch it sometimes on Netflix when I don’t want to invest in something.

Plenty of memories of shows they were on when I was growing up. But I don’t care to watch them now.

Magnum is pretty good.
