Who's up for some poker?

VooFoo Studios and Ripstone Publishing, the developer and publisher that brought the well-received Pure Pool to Xbox One, have announced that they are currently developing Pure Hold’em for the console. For those who need their Hold 'Em fix, this will be the first opportunity to pick up a Poker title on Xbox One.

Just as with Pure Pool, Pure Hold 'Em aims to bring the most realistic experience to gamers. Taking place in the Pure Casino, players will be able to choose from four different tables that are catered to different skill levels from Jokers to Aces and Masters. The better one performs at their current table, the better their chance to play at a higher level one.

Multiplayer is a big part of the game, and will allow for either tournaments with up to eight friends or the ability to sit at an open table for a quick fix. Customization is present too, as everything from the table felt to the set of cards in play can be changed to suit that player’s liking.

Pure Hold 'Em is scheduled for release sometime later this year.

Only if it’s Strip.

Video game poker will never work since it isn’t real money. Idiots go all in often since they don’t care if they lose it.

Exactly. My 11 year old KILLS at Buffalo Wild Wings. He plays with his iPad and just bullies everyone. He started with 2000, 10 minutes later he has 7,500. Accidentally goes all in (by mistake, wrong button) and loses. Starts over with 2,000 and builds that up to 9,000 before we leave. LOL.

the only time it worked was in Test Drive unlimited 2. You could fly to an resort island with a casino and gamble with the cash you won from races. there was also an exclusive car for sale you could only get through a poker tournament. It was actually REALLY awesome. i tripled up one time and took off to buy a lambo.

only other game i could see it working in is GTA, but the online part has been out for so long i feel like some ppl have too much money to know what to do with… by i guess thats why they would enter the high roller area and lose it all.

But yo have to admit we had some nice nights playing on the 360.

Bring back the GRG poker night.
