XB1 Controller Disconnects

Anyone here experience random disconnects with their controllers? All weekend long I’ve been having issues with mine. It doesn’t seem to be a specific controller. When it does disconnect, I lose sound and control on the xbox. A quick reboot doesn’t solve the issue, I have to do a hard reboot.

I am going to re-apply the controller updates to both my controllers.

I also wonder if it has something to do with my new router. Am I getting interference from it? I changed the 2.4ghz channel from auto to one not really used (checked with a wifi analyzer). I’m not sure if the controllers use 5ghz.

It happened to me Thursday twice.

It just started Friday night. I had issues both Friday and Saturday. Didn’t happen before.

There was or is going to be an update for the controller. If it has released I wonder if that has something to do with it.

I have had numerous audio issues when using headphones over the past few days.

I tried to reapply the last update but it won’t let me. So I don’t think it’s out yet. This is just odd as the issue just started this weekend.

Have had the same problem for the last two days when my batteries got low . I even had to do a hard boot three times , so no it is not just you .

Happens even when using the charging cable.

I know I had to reinstall the controller updates early this year, but I haven’t since. I did notice a little crackling in the sound on Thursday when I was playing, but no disconnects. I’m going to reapply controller updates on both when I’m on tomorrow or Tuesday.

How do you reinstall the controller update? It wouldn’t let me. It says mine are up to date.

This happened to me yesterday when I powered off in the middle of destiny. I just held the button down to rest the system, and when it came back it was fine.

I went to settings, system, controller update. Maybe they’ve taken away the ability to reinstall it now.

Yeah I tried it the other night and it said there weren’t any updates available.
