4k is old news, Hello 8k

HDMI 2.1 Spec was announced at CES which included support for 8K and also for us console gamers variable refresh rate on TV’s. This new mode is called “Game Mode VRR”

this could potentially introduce variable refresh rate on console if, for example, Microsoft’s Scorpio hardware supported HDMI 2.1. The new 48G cables will enable up to 48Gbps bandwidth for uncompressed HDMI 2.1.

Bad news is you do have to buy new HDMI cables to leverge all the features.

Should probably be buying new cables if you’re thinking about 4K. Older hdmi cables don’t have the bandwidth capability to handle 4K

4k at 120 hz would be nice, wait and watch. Scorpio support HDMI 2.1 good news but will it really support the refresh rates? At least they are going in the right direction time will tell
