Not entirely sure how I feel about this.
Seems like they’ve tried to cover concerns on vehicle security but I’m sure there will be flaws / exploits to be found.
Would any of you sign up for this?

No. I wouldn’t.
Where’s your support for Amazon…
Plenty of support for Amazon, just don’t like this one aspect!
Fair enough.
I’m not sold on it.
At least it doesn’t cost $200 like the house variant though.
The good thing is they are working with car manufacturers and just allowing trunk access. But still don’t really care for the aspect.
Unless you’re homeless and live in your car or a van down by the river, Is this really necessary?
Let’s say it does work and becomes a thing, the thieves aren’t just going away. They will start breaking into the cars if they have to. Then even if Amazon covers the cost of the item stolen you are stuck with the deductible to repair your car.
Living in your car is the new hipster thing. Plenty of Youtube videos on “Live out of your car and be free”. We have a few groups of people in my area living out of converted school buses.
I think they need to equip packages with a tracker and an explosive. Once UPS confirms it’s shipped, the device is activated. If the tracker registers it’s being moved, you get a message that someone has the package, with the option to keep tracking or detonate. One touch on the phone, and some deadbeat blows up!
