Sonic Mania was initially unveiled as a spring 2017 title. Bringing all new levels as well as a bunch of fan favorites and touched up, modern visuals with the same charm as the original games, Sonic Mania was set to be the game Sonic fans had been hoping for for generations. Sadly, it seems it’s going to miss that date. It’s now coming in the summer.
To make up for the delay, we’ve got a new video showing off the Flying Battery Zone, a fan favorite from Sonic & Knuckles. This version is a reimagining so things might be different than you’ve come to expect in terms of layout, but beneath the fresh coat of paint is still the same zone fans know and love.
Sonic Mania will launch in summer 2017.
