Raise your lantern! The folks of Gweonid Forest are celebrating the light of the night, and they want all of Erenor to come celebrate with them. Fun prizes like Yata Lanterns, a monkey chair and rug, and labor regenerative dreams await those who participate!

Festival Dates & Location

The Gweonid Forest Lantern Festival will be available in Gweonid Forest starting at 2:00 AM UTC on March 29 and ending at 2:00 AM UTC on April 19 for European Servers. North American servers will hold the festival from 12:00 AM PST on March 29 to 12:00 AM PST on April 19.

To reach Gweonid Forest, either travel to it by foot, teleport there using your Teleport Book, or make use of one of the Gweonid Forest Festival Worldgates present in your Faction Base.

During this time, Gweonid Forest will be set into Festival Law, allowing all players to participate in the festival. Remember: Festival Law prevents bloodlust and PvP activities, but it does not prevent Guild Dominions. You have been warned!

Festival Quests

[Daily] Start by crafting a lantern with Denissi! You’ll need 10 pieces of paper, 5 Memory Inks, and 10 Labor to put together a lantern – just drop by the Lantern Festival Workbench in the festival area. Doing so will earn you 1 Lantern Festival Token.

[Daily] Next, Denissi will ask you to raise your lantern. Doing so will earn you another Lantern Festival Token, as well as a Toy Lantern you can use for the next 6 hours.

[Daily] Rojuni is in need of someone to help ward off hypnotizing Wisps in the area. Once complete, this quest will earn you another Lantern Festival Token.

[Daily] Have some excess Iron Ignots? Asha needs them! Deliver 50 Iron Ingots each day for 5 Lantern Festival Tokens.

[Timed Quest] Ever see a Yata Shaped Lantern? You will now! Visit Mellius at 1 PM, 7 PM, and 12:00 AM UTC in Europe, or 11:00 AM, 5:00 PM, and 10:00 PM PDT in North America – he’ll stick around for an hour each time.

Use the Candlelit Table around the Dimmed Lantern in order to light it up into a Sparkling Lantern! Once the lantern is lit, your quest will be completed and you’ll be awarded 3 Lantern Festival Tokens, 1 Glimmershine Essence, and a special Gweonid Elixir buff offering +3% Evasion, +41 Attack Speed, and -4% Cast Time for 1 hour.

Glimmershine Essences can be combined into additional Lantern Festival Tokens. Make sure to appropriately convert them into tokens before the festival ends, otherwise they will be removed from your inventory!

Monkey Rug – 30 Tokens
Monkey Chair – 30 Tokens
Small Red, Green, Blue, Yellow Yata Lanterns – 15 Tokens
Red, Green, Blue, and Yellow Yata Lanterns – 25 Tokens

GRG style of game.

First time I encountered one of these areas last night and quickly learned to avoid them.

Nice job! Lasted a whole 2 seconds.

Nice…wonder what was going on there…might have been an event going on. There is an event calendar.

Yeah all I know is there were a ton of people on that hill waiting so they knew it was coming. One person was helpful to me in chat being friendly and warned me things were about to get messy but they were doing God’s work to protect this world.
