Found some treasure…

One thing I do miss that this game doesn’t have, is the ability to dye your armor.

A UK community manager has stated that Ubisoft is planning to add a new game+ feature to Assassin’s Creed Origins.

Replying to a Reddit poster’s direct question about the possibility of new game+ coming to the game, community manager domvgt said: “New Game+ is coming. We’ll have more information to share soon.”

Domvgt didn’t offer any other details, so we’ll have to wait and see what comes to pass.

LOL I will never make it to NG+.

Ok the tie in with the quick cut scene with Final Fantasy XV items was awesome.

That was cool little addition to the game. I don’t use the gear because it looks weird compared to the old Egyptian themed items, but it’s funny to run around once in a while with my Chocobo

40 hours of game time and not even close to unlocking the entire map.

Assassin’s Creed Origins - Discovery Tour Achievement List Revealed

“Discovery Tour” for Assassin’s Creed Origins is scheduled to release next week, allowing players to experience Ubisoft’s digital recreation of Ancient Eygpt in a new and interesting way. Consisting of 75 tours that have been curated by historians and Egyptologists, “Discover Tour” removes all of the conflict and narrative from the game, giving players the chance to use Origins to learn about the history, geography and the people that made history in Eygpt.

Maxime Durand, the resident historian for the Assassin’s Creed franchise, shared some details of “Discovery Tour” in a recently published Q&A on Ubisioft.com.

How does a tour unfold?

When you go into a tour, the way it works is that you go to a tour start, you enter into a tour like you would do with a mission in the regular game, and then you go into different steps. You physically follow a path on the ground, and then you go to stations. And all of these stations use a certain type of camera that will show you a building, or details in the environment, or a view of the mountains or deserts, for instance. And all of these stations have information, an audio guide that will talk to you. There is one narrator man and one narrator woman for different languages.

And then you have images of artifacts from museums or libraries around the world. Again, enhancing the experience, making the link between what you see in the digital environment and the kinds of sources we used to craft the game. We try to make people learn something new, but at the same time, we want to bridge back to formal education and institutions. We never made the Discovery Tour to replace teachers; we’ve made it as a tool to make history broadly accessible.

It creates an opportunity for anyone to actually bridge back to more formal media and create discussions, for example being a critic about the way we create history, the way we reconstitute that in the game. Because we’re not accurate all the time, we make [creative] choices. So this is something that is important for us, that it creates a dialogue between, let’s say, teachers and their students, to understand that not everything they see on screen is true. You can think about whatever you do in life, whatever you see, you can always criticize. And that’s healthy.

In the Q&A, Maxime also confirmed that “Discovery Tour” will be adding three new achievements to the game, and fortunately for us, we have just picked them up.

You can find guides to unlocking these achievements as soon as we have them on the Assassin’s Creed Origins Achievements page.

There are 3 achievements worth a total of 30 Gamerscore, none of which are secret:

  • First Visit Complete one tour 10 gamerscore
  • Archeologist Complete all tours in the Daily Life category 10 Gamerscore
  • Polymorph Complete tours with at least 5 different characters 10 Gamerscore

“Discovery Tour” releases on February 20th and will be available as a free add-on for Assassin’s Creed Origins. A standalone version will also be availble on PC for $19.99.

I think this is a great concept. They have a whole new market if they can pull this off

Ghostly Pharaohs Are Coming For You In Assassin’s Creed: Origins’ New DLC

The second DLC story expansion for Assassin’s Creed Origins, “The Curse of the Pharaohs”, will arrive tomorrow, so it seems like an appropriate time for Ubisoft to release the launch trailer for the upcoming content.

Players will accompany Bayek as he investigates an ancient curse that is plaguing the region of Thebes. Inspired by Egyptian mythology, players will face Egyptian beasts and famous pharoahs who have been brought back to life by the curse. The new costumes and equipment that will arrive with the expansion are also themed around Egyptian mythology and will include rare and legendary weapons. Finally, the level cap will be raised once again, this time to level 55.

“The Curse of the Pharaohs” will be included as part of the Season Pass or will be available for purchase separately.
