Battlefield Premium Friends feature

It looks like Battlefield will have a new perk for Premium members. You can bring in friends in your party to play the new maps. There’s a bit of a switch though:

“As a player who owns Battlefield 1 Premium Pass, you will be able to bring your friends in Battlefield 1 along to play on the new maps!” noted producer Andreas Skoglund in the post. “When creating a party in Battlefield 1, you may notice something new: if someone owns a Battlefield 1 Premium Pass, the party will become ‘Premium Enabled’. This will allow anyone in that party to play on all maps, regardless if they own the content or not. The access is available as long as the party is ‘Premium Enabled’.”

So, it looks like you can party up and limit the segregation in party where some have premium and some don’t. But there are perks for premium members:

In a “Premium Enabled” party, only owners of a Battlefield 1 Premium Pass or the specific expansion pack will earn XP from the maps exclusive to that expansion. We will save the XP for everyone else and grant them retroactively if they decide to get the Battlefield 1 Premium Pass for themselves.

Only owners of a Battlefield 1 Premium Pass or the specific expansion pack will be able to spawn in with weapons and vehicles unique for the expansion.

That is pretty cool of them. Course there would still be drawbacks with no XP for the pack owners.

It’s a smart way to not segregate the community with map packs. It also entices those that play to purchase the DLC.

I like how if you play the premium maps, they save the XP back for you and give it to you if you purchase premium. Not sure how long they hold the XP though.

It may make the games a little more balanced. Now all the try hards are on the DLC.

I need to get 15 kills in one game to unlock one of them. I don’t think I have ever had 15 kills in a game. 15 deaths now, that I could do.

I think there’s several guns you need to get 15 kills in a round with. Your best bet would be playing Frontlines during prime hours. The games usually last an hour AT LEAST. I’ve played late night games as quick as 5 minutes.

Actually, the last time we played Frontlines I think you killed me 15 times.
