BEER. What's in your glass?

Went to jupiter Craft Brewers Festival today… 70+ vendors, 160+ beers… pics incoming. the guys from BNECTOR were there, asked them about the star wars bottle and they both lit up with excitment about how awesome it was. Gopro took pics every 5 seconds, gotta go through them and ill post in another thread.

I had a 750ml bottle of Upside Brown from Ommegang last night. It’s a Farmhouse Brown. It’s ok, drinkable but I wouldn’t pick it up again.

I’ll keep an eye out for that Upside Brown. Browns are not usually my favorite. But I love a farmhouse style beer.

Dansk Mjød Viking Blod - I had this last friday. It’s described as a hibiscus/hop mead. I did not like it.

Glazen Toren Canaster “Z” - This is a Belgian “winterscotch” aged in grappa barrels. It’s fucking delicious. There’s not really a picture of this one because the whole Zymatore project is distributed in kegs. For further reading… http://www.bunitedint.com/zymatore/ .

I had a Local Species last night by Blue Mountain. It’s fucking delicious.

This is my plan as of now for a guy trip.

I just finished a 6 pack of - Abita Brewing Company’s Mardi Gras Bock. I really liked this beer, very easy to drink. I’d like to get another 6 pack of it sometime.

Rogue Brewery is celebrating 21 years of Hellboy with a limited edition Red Ale. I think I’m going to try this one.

This year marks the 21st anniversary of Mike Mignola’s Hellboy—and now that the celebrated demon-hero is finally of legal drinking age, he’s getting his very own beer named after him.

Created by Oregon-based microbrewery Rogue Ales, the beer—appropriately named The Right Hand of Doom—a limited-edition red ale making its debut Feb. 20 at Portland comics shop Things From Another World and available nationally via Rogue’s website.

“When Dark Horse Comics published the first Hellboy story 21 years ago, I never imagine there’d be a Hellboy beer,” said Mignola in a statement. “But I really can’t imagine a better time for Rogue to introduce the Right Hand of Doom beer. If Hellboy was real I guess he’d finally be able to buy me a beer.”

The label, which you can see for the first time above, features art by Hellboy creator Mike Mignola along with the standard government warnings and cash refund rates for recycling. While you probably shouldn’t incite any fiery apocalypses to pair with your Hellboy beer, no one would begrudge you for cracking one open should a fiery apocalypse occur.

I NEED IT!!! I love Red Ales.

Snow days lead to mid-week drinking.

I was not a fan of this one…

@Claude505 what did you think about the Belgian Farmhouse Ale? I love Victory’s.

That one was pretty tasty. I’d buy it again for sure. I hadn’t seen it before. I got it from Fresh Market around here. I think it was only 5.99. For big bottles, that’s pretty decent.

That’s the same price for the same size of the Victory Farmhouse. I’ll keep an eye out for the one you tried.

$20 to ship 4 bottles to me… might have to scour the local places.

Love some Natty Greenes. My pub was one of the first to carry it in Burlington.
