BEER. What's in your glass?

neat, i knew most of those, Terripin threw me off but guess thats why i dont like their beer. An-Bush has been buying up a lot of the micro brews to increase their hold, their sales are down a shit ton the last few years.

My beer for tonight’s show…

I tried the regular Sculpin last weekend. I can’t say that I understand the hype. It seemed pretty bland to me. It certainly didn’t seem to be worth the $16/six pack that they are charging for it.

youve got to be shitting me

I saw the Sculpin, passed. @Audible_Silence, 16 bucks per six pack isn’t bad. I had a 4 pack of Delirium for $20. It was a heavy hitter (10%) and most awesome.

Just picked up a six pack of Harpoon Summer Beer. I wanted a nice easy drinking beer and this hit the spot.

maybe beer is cheaper in FL. 4 pk of dogfish is $10-12.

I had a couple beers last weekend that were awesome -

And, I’m having this one while I finish up the last half-hour of work. It’s OK. I’m not a huge pilsner fan. But it’s cold beer.

Is anyone still doing the beer exchange? I’m looking for a few hard to get to breweries.

I’ll just be over here drinking my ziegenbock, feeling out of place lol

I don’t have much around here that’s hard for you to get. But, I’m up for trading. I waited as long as I good with the batch from Jackson Hole. I started drinking them at work a few weeks ago.

If there are any left, Reaver Beach is making some really good sour beers. They just released a Bass Panzer. I drank a couple this past weekend.

Also had one of these this weekend - Very good stuff.

I forgot to put last month’s beer haul from my work’s trading club. This is the month that broke me with IPAs. We had 5 IPAs, one Double IPA and one Stout (weather was way too nice for a stout). I know it’s the cool thing to like IPAs and the hoppier the better (and thicker the neckbeard). I’d rather drink a beer I can have a few of and I just can’t with an IPA.

Morning Glory Espresso Stout - Old Dominion Brewing Company This wasn’t bad, just the wrong time of the year for this beer. The weather got way too warm.

Hoppy Feet - Clown Shoes

Superfuzz Blood Orange Pale Ale - Elysian Brewing Company

Kragle IPA - Free Will Brewing Co. This is a local micro brewery. I used to live right around the corner from this place. Very nice tap room, I’ve been there several times to fill up my growlers.

Double D IPA - Old Dominion Brewing Company

River Horse Summer Blonde - River Horse Brewing Co. Another local brewery. I toured their original brewery. I’m not a fan of their beers though.

Hop Hunter - Sierra Nevada Brewing Co.

Spring Hornin’ Spring IPA - Anderson Valley Brewing Company

IPA is my favorite type but I don’t drink it in the summer time.

Dirty hipster

Okay I finally got my list straight: I’m looking for the harder to find beers, and have access to the central Virginia area like Strangeways, Hardywood, and Lickinghole Creek. I’m also not too far out from the Charlottesville region as well.

Indiana: Prairie Artisan Ales: Specifically Apple Brandy Noir, an imperial stout, and Bomb!
Founders: Beers from their 2nd and 3rd tier: Specifically looking for their June Limited release Devil Dancer.
New Glarus: Fruited Sours
Parabellum Beers
Possibly last on the list, some real Belgian Sours.

I had some really good upper Tier Goose island stouts (Bourbon County) and if you have the means get them.

If you live around there as well http://www.gooseisland.com/showEvents.html.

Rau, if you ever have an excuse to be down here, I have a few gems that I’ve been holding/aging. We could put together a nice little tasting. I only have a couple of friends that appreciate them.

Got to try this finally last week. Not what I expected. Hoppier then I expected but not over kill.

Picked this up this Saturday. I’m an iron Maiden nut so it’s getting drank regardless if it’s good. But at 11.50 for a 4 pack it better be decent. One can will remain on the collection shelf no matter what
