Buying a new desktop...ISO advice...PLEASE HELP!

I’m ready to buy a new PC but I’m not so great with all the specs and terminology. I’m hoping if I post what I need that someone may point me in the right direction.

OS must be Windows 10 and the machine must be new. I’d like to keep it under $700 if possible. I’m not looking for a monitor as I plan to run it through my TV.

Do I need a gaming PC? I do most of my gaming on console, however I’d like a machine capable of running the equivalent of say Xbox 360 or PS3 games. I may never buy a PC game, but I’d like to be able to run a Xbox 360 or PS3 emulator.

I’d like to be able to add a optical drive if the machine does not come with one. It could even be external, I don’t really care. I’d also like to be able to use the 5 TB external HDD I just bought.

4K would be nice, or the possibility to upgrade would be nice, but I don’t think it’s a deal breaker. Same goes for VR capabilities.

I’m not super concerned if the graphics card is integrated or dedicated. If it can handle what I’m looking for I’m not really planning to upgrade.

Other specs like processor type and RAM…I’m not sure what I need. 8 GB or up? I imagine I would need quad core or higher.

Everything I find has some bad review buried in there somewhere. Or I feel like something’s off. I’ve been trying to watch youtube videos to figure out what I need…but I’m burnt out.

Here is my first choice so far. Seems to have everything I need besides the optical drive. Major bonus…I can drive to pick it up and not have to order online. Would this fit my needs?

Here’s the others that I was looking at with links. Any advice is greatly appreciated!!!

That first one you’ve got is the best of what you’ve got listed. I would avoid all of the others with the exception maybe of the last ViprTech one, but the first you have listed is better objectively and will do what you want/need.

I agree with Krobar, I just wanted to add that even the best machines will get negative reviews because the buyer didn’t research the machine. It is good to read the negative reviews but I mostly look for reviews where the machine died or had to be sent back.
