Candleman released back in November exclusively in China. By the looks of it, it’s an easy completion which should excite quite a few of you. The game originated as a concept entry into the Ludum Game Jam where it won multiple awards. This brought the funding needed to make it a full game created by Chinese developer Spotlightor.
The game stars you as a candle who must make it through the darkness to the end of the candle. As a candle, you can of course bring light to the darkness and reveal your surroundings – but only at a cost. As you burn your candle, you’ll burn your wax which causes you to grow lighter and faster and with only 10 seconds of burning time, you’ll need to make strategic choices about when to burn that light.
Candleman will release in the West on Xbox One as part of the ID@Xbox program on February 1st. We’ll of course have more details
