I guess since they couldn’t make a sequel they’re trying to make sine money back with this.
In the last generation, players were taken into a different kind of zombie apocalypse in the lush, tropical setting of Dead Island, and now those that didn’t get to experience the action-oriented zombie title will be able to get the complete experience soon on PS4, Xbox One, and PC.
A retail listing on Best Buy’s website revealed Dead Island: Definitive Collection for PS4 and Xbox One, a new compilation that includes the definitive editions of both Dead Island and Dead Island: Riptide, all of each titles’ add-ons and DLC, and a bonus 16-bit inspired game in the series called Dead Island: Retro Revenge.
Both Dead Island and Riptide are “fully remastered versions” of the titles complete with all previously-released DLC and patches according to the listing on Best Buy, while Retro Revenge is a completely new, standalone game that’s “in the style of a classic side-scrolling action/endless runner within the Dead Island universe.”
Both the PS4 and Xbox One versions of Dead Island: Definitive Edition are currently available to pre-order from Best Buy’s website for $39.99, while an edition of the collection will also be arriving for PC.
Dead Island: Definitive Collection will release for PS4, Xbox One, and PC on May 31st, 2016
