Wirelessly? Wow. I’m behind the times.

I still don’t dig wireless connection. Bandwidth is too limited

Yeah curious as to what kind of input lag there is.

We have wireless monitors in some of the conference rooms at work and the lag is horrible. Sometimes 10-15 seconds between when you change a slide in Powerpoint on the laptop and when it shows on the monitor. I use the wired connection instead as the wireless is unusable even for that, I can’t imagine using it for gaming.

Thanks for the info Galt. Good to know.

There could be a few reasons why the wired connection is bad. Without knowing what you have from the table to the display, and what’s in between, I couldn’t tell you. My initial thought is that if it’s just a cable to the display the cable may not be big enough for the distance and is choking on bandwidth. I’ve done hundreds of conference rooms with no issues of lag from wired connections. We do them now from over 150’ away with an equipment rack in an IDF down the hall.

i think he is describing issues with the wireless connection. not the wired.

Yea sounded like wired was giving issues too. Guess not.

Correct. Wired is fine, wireless is a joke. Our network guys are working with the vendor but so far they can’t figure out the issue.

Good luck with that. What device is it? I can tell you fairly quickly if it’ll do what you are thinking it would. In our testing the best wireless share/present device is from Mersive (https://www.mersive.com) they have done a great job with content sharing and being able to put it on an enterprise network. 1080p/30 with extremely low latency and the ability to have more than one person sharing laptops at the same time is pretty awesome.
