So here’s my bit of unsanctioned, unofficial lore: Chaka Khan’s hit 80’s single Own The Night is actually an anthem for Guardians in the Destiny universe.
BS you say? Consider this: “Own the Night” is code for Own the Nightfall, and The phrase " touch the light" is an obvious reference to the Traveler and it’s magical Light… There are other veiled Destiny references therein in the following Lyrics …Read on with an open mind and scoff no more ye Unbelievers, lest ye blaspheme!
