Current-gen versions of Dirt 5 have suffered a slight delay and will now launch on October 16th — a week later than Codemasters had initially intended.
The announcement was made over on Twitter. Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and PC versions of the game have been pushed back from October 9th to the 16th. Those who have pre-ordered the Amplified Edition will get access to the game three days early on October 13th. No reason for the delay was given.
Dirt 5 is Codemasters latest entry into the Dirt series. This time around, the game features a Career Mode staring Troy Baker and Nolan North, thirteen different vehicle types and “more game modes than any previous iteration”. An Xbox Series X version is in the works too, and Dirt 5 supports Xbox’s Smart Delivery programme. Those who purchase the game on Xbox One will automatically be entitled to an Xbox Series X copy of the game when it launches.
Dirt 5 comes to Xbox One on October 16th.
