EA Play subscribers can earn 6,000 Microsoft Rewards Points by downloading a UFC 4 trial

If you’re an EA Play subscriber (formerly known as EA Access), you might be able to earn yourself a whopping 6,000 Microsoft Rewards Points by simply downloading the free EA Sports UFC 4 trial.

There is a punchcard on the Microsoft Rewards app on Xbox One that offers 6,000 Rewards Points for purchasing EA’s latest fighting title, UFC 4. However, a Redditor by the username HaYoGotRekTed has found a way of grabbing the points without purchasing the game. They note that if you’re an EA Play subscriber, you can still claim the points by downloading the free UFC 4 trial from the subscription service. Here’s what you need to do to claim the points:

  • Go to the Microsoft Rewards App on your Xbox One
  • Select and activate the UFC 4 “Need the Game?” punchcard
  • On the punchcard, select “Get UFC 4” where you’ll be directed to the Microsoft Store
  • Start downloading the free UFC 4 trial by selecting “install trial option”
  • Open up the Microsoft Rewards app, and you should see the 6,000 Rewards Points showing in your account

We have tested this method and can confirm that it works. It’s also possible to download the trial directly from the EA Play app. From what we’ve seen online, if you already own the game or have installed the trial previously, you will not be eligible for the free points. 6,000 Rewards Points is worth $6/£6, so it’s a pretty hefty amount to pass up. If you’re not an EA Play subscriber, you can currently buy a one-month subscription for $4.99/£3.99 from the Microsoft Store, although you may be able to find a subscription cheaper elsewhere.
