EA Reveals Battlefield Hardline Premium Program

Electronic Arts has confirmed details of Battlefield Hardline Premium, detailing that DLC membership program will give users two weeks’ early access to four story-themed digital expansions, plus a series of bonuses, for a one-off charge of $50 (£40).

The four expansion packs will each feature their own story, and come with new multiplayer maps, modes, vehicles, and other in-game content. Synopses written by EA, below, offer an outline to the four expansions:

  • Criminal Activity: Players have to make a name for themselves in
    fast-paced, highly-destructible new maps littered with small-time
    crime jobs. Available summer 2015.
  • Robbery: Take down the opposition head on and progress through key locations with major cinematic action. Available summer 2015.
  • Getaway: This is frantic, high-speed chases that immerse players deeper in the heist. Available fall 2015.
  • Betrayal: There is a rat in every operation and players will have to find out who to trust. Available winter early 2016.

As previously suggested, Premium members will be able to access this DLC two weeks ahead of general release.

The Hardline Premium package also contains four additional in-game features (it is not clear if these will be sold separately). EA describes them below:

  • Masks: New player masks with unique gameplay benefits tied to the theme of each mask.
  • Gun Bench: Provides players with the ability to visually customize their weapons and track their kills per weapon.
  • Competitive Play: Support for competitive play through Battlefield Hardline Premium-access only tournaments and ladders.
  • Legendary Status: Provides replayability of the entire progression system.

Other additions to Premium include 12 Gold Battlepacks, additional personalisation options including gun camos and ammo skins, access to double-XP, and priority position in server queues.

The Battlefield Hardline release date falls on March 17. More than seven million people played the game’s beta in Early February, EA has said.

Launch platforms include PC, PS3, PS4, Xbox 360, and Xbox One. Those who want to play the title on Xbox One can pre-load the game now.

Meanwhile, EA Access members on Xbox One can start playing Hardline on March 12, though this pre-release play period is limited to ten total game hours.

Is anyone actually getting premium?

I am done with the premium stuff unless it is a game we are playing all the time for a length of time.

Not a chance in hell.

I would get it but then I am one of the few that has maps he never gets to play.

If your in this clan season passes/premium are a bad idea as most of the time (clan nights atleast) you don’t get to play the DLC because only a 1/3 of the people purchased it.

I will buy it if enough people do but not premium, individually.

They have mostly. We are playing tonight actually, and there is a 1.3 GB patch today.

Sweet - do you play on the xbox or ps?

No. Not this time.

I used to buy season passes but i just no longer see the value in them. Sure you save money if you bought all the packs individually. By the time the third or 4th packs comes out i have moved on.

I’m not getting premium either. I had it for BF3 and like others have stated, I either didn’t get to play those maps or not enough clan members had the dlc. At $40 ~ $50 it’s pretty expensive.

Xbox

Yea… me neither. The severs need to work within a month of launch before I even consider getting DLC.

That Betrayal game mode is nothing but “Trouble in Terrorist Town” a game mode in a PC game called Gary’s Mod…

Is it any good?

It looks like a lot of fun from what I’ve seen on Youtube. A great game to mess around in.

Awesome - I may try to hop on then!

Hmmm - color me excited.

I may be the only one but I will strongly consider getting premium. I think I easily got my moneys worth with BF4 premium.

I think a lot of us are iffy on this game. Add in the fact that most didn’t want all of the BF4 map packs. I won’t play China Rising, I don’t like those maps or that gameplay at all.

i dont feel like i was ripped off by the premium pass for BF 3 or 4. it was like $100 total but i played well over 100 hours of bf3, BF4 didnt play as much but got my money worth. with this one i dont know how much or how long im actually going to play. if the clan keeps playing i will too, but if nobody is on playing it than i wont be playing by myself, thats boring as hell.
