Fallout 4 Tips Thread

If you haven’t found it yet, I found a comic book that gives you the flame paint job on your power armor for no material cost.

Head straight north from Sanctuary until you hit the border. Head east until you find a small fenced in scrap yard with a small concrete bunker. You will know its the right area if you see a deactivated sentry bot in the fenced in area with all the scrap. The comic should be on the desk in the bunker.

I have only had that one issue where i came back to find Trashcan Carla dead at my doorstop where i had a bottlecap mine. Other than that it does not seem like they trip them.

Maybe because carla is not a settler and is a trader. Not sure. But now i have her and her freaking bramin blocking my door and they wont disappear.

Take her clothes off and drag her into your bed.

You can move bodies (human and ghoul at least, not tried a Brahmin…) by pressing and holding the action button which picks items up.

Seems that you then move really slowly which is frustrating, but still works to tidy areas up a little.

X button on PS4.

Nice tip. Will have to do that.

I can’t move a big ass mole rat. Says it weighs to much lol.

Tried in Power Armour? Maybe after a brewski?

It’s a new character. I haven’t got power armor yet.

My first play through character would have no issues.

I’ve moved several ghouls out of Sunshine Tidings several times only to find them back in the exact spot when I fast track back later.

dunno how known this is.

need master lock picking. Laser doesnt need to be reloaded

If you guys have the bottle caps, go see Cricket the traveling merchant who hangs out in front of vault 81.

She sells a legendary submachine gun called Spray n Pray. Its a Tommy gun that has explosive rounds.

If you don’t see her hanging out in front of the vault, sit and wait or sleep for a bit and she will eventually show up.

Not sure if this was mentioned but you can move a selected object around while in “workshop mode”. I’m on PC but use my XB1 controller, so by holding A and using left analog, you can move the object you have selected all around. This is a tremendous help when trying to position an object right where you want it. You can also rotate/spin the object with LT&Rt but I think most people probably know that.

Yea same as all fallout games. Weight is a issue though. If it is to heavy you can’t move it. Also if the items aren’t “static” they have a tendency to fall through the world. There is a mod that allows you to turn junk into static objects so that they can be displayed with out being knocked down or to prevent them from falling through the world.

BTW you don’t have to do it in workshop mode. You can do it outside of it you just cant rotate, mainly to drag dead bodies out of the way.

I was just talking about in craft mode. Being able to move an abject around while standing still. Not sure if I’m explaining it right.

Gotcha your talking when building. We were talking about moving bodies above I thought you were talking about the old way of moving stuff. I misread.

Nope. Just throwing another tip out there. Just so happen to piggy back the other moving objects thing.

Nice video. LOL on the lights all over the power armor.
