With Red Dead Redemption II almost here these post are popping up on the internet. So what are your favorite Westerns?
I am not a huge fan but I do have a few I like. Young Guns, Tombstone, Unforgiven, Maverick, Wyatt Earp, True Grit, The Good, The Bad, and The Ugly for movies. Deadwood, Kung Fu, The Rifleman, and Rawhide for TV.
Does Three Amigos count?
I am going to try and watch a few before RDR2 release. Probably 3:10 to Yuma, Hateful Eight, Fistful of Dollars, and The Revenant.
Tombstone, The Outlaw Josey Wales, The Searchers, The Magnificent Seven (with Yule Brenner and Steve MacQueen not the new one). Anything with John Wayne.
No shit. And no disrespect to the many great westerns that have been made but this was a classic made for our generation. Love this movie. Val Kilmer kills it as Doc Holiday.
Tombstone and Young Guns for sure, but I also like 1,000,000 Ways To Die In The West.
(the movie has been out long enough, but if you hven’t seen it - too bad there are spoilers)
I can see why many people wouldn’t like it. It’s not my favorite by any means. I think it’s worth watching once. Django will probably be next cause I think it also is on Netflix. Going to have to rent some of the others I want to watch cause they aren’t on Netflix or Amazon.
