Favorite Westerns?

With Red Dead Redemption II almost here these post are popping up on the internet. So what are your favorite Westerns?

I am not a huge fan but I do have a few I like. Young Guns, Tombstone, Unforgiven, Maverick, Wyatt Earp, True Grit, The Good, The Bad, and The Ugly for movies. Deadwood, Kung Fu, The Rifleman, and Rawhide for TV.

Does Three Amigos count?

I am going to try and watch a few before RDR2 release. Probably 3:10 to Yuma, Hateful Eight, Fistful of Dollars, and The Revenant.

Great idea. Unforgiven tops my list, however, 3:10 to Yuma is up there as well.

And damnit YES…Three Amigos definately counts.

Young guns and tombstone for me. Yeah the others were good but you’re asking for my favorites.

Tombstone, Unforgiven, Young Guns, Wyatt Earp, The Quick and the Dead, any Clint Eastwood film and Dances with Wolves.

There are really so many though.

Greatest Western scene ever…

Young Guns, Django Unchained, Hateful 8, and Blazing Saddles

Tombstone, The Outlaw Josey Wales, The Searchers, The Magnificent Seven (with Yule Brenner and Steve MacQueen not the new one). Anything with John Wayne.

No shit. And no disrespect to the many great westerns that have been made but this was a classic made for our generation. Love this movie. Val Kilmer kills it as Doc Holiday.

Don’t forget this classic.

Surprised Lala didn’t vote for Brokeback Mountain.

Tombstone and Young Guns for sure, but I also like 1,000,000 Ways To Die In The West.
(the movie has been out long enough, but if you hven’t seen it - too bad there are spoilers)

Completely forgot about Django unchained. Loved that movie. And BTTF 3 was a fun movie. Just watched the series with my daughter again.

I watched Hateful Eight last night. It was good and fucked up like any Tarantino film.

I can see why many people wouldn’t like it. It’s not my favorite by any means. I think it’s worth watching once. Django will probably be next cause I think it also is on Netflix. Going to have to rent some of the others I want to watch cause they aren’t on Netflix or Amazon.

Most of GRG liked it because of the Samuel L. Jackson snow scene. Bunch of degenerates.

Tombstone, young guns 2, west world

Love that movie, forgot about it, and Django. I was thinking more western-like westerns. Those two are great.

Silverado, Once upon a time in the West , She wore a yellow ribbon.
