Nothing is sacred anymore. MI6 replaced the retired James Bond with a female 007. She is not Jane Bond or James Bond but is using the 00 number. No idea if that’s a permanent thing.

I’m looking at it this way - the franchise is dead. Now this is/will be another generic action movie and nothing more. As such, it’ll be a Netflix/cable at best for me.
