FIFA 18 Announced

In an unexpected move, EA has announced FIFA 18, with a big focus on Cristiano Ronaldo in its new trailer as he’s also the cover athlete.

FIFA 18’s premise is that while motion capturing Cristiano Ronaldo in Madrid, the team was made aware of “important gameplay elements including fluidity, player responsiveness and explosiveness” for the next iteration of the game. No further details on the game itself were provided apart from it will be powered once again by the Frostbite engine, it will be releasing on the Xbox 360, and that three editions are available for pre-order.

Pre-order bonuses:
FIFA 18 will come in three editions: Standard, Cristiano Ronaldo Edition and ICON Edition.

Users who pre-order the Standard Edition will get:

More information will be revealed during the EA Play conference taking place June 10th. FIFA 18 releases September 29th, being available for EA Access members from September 21st.

I saw last night that the Switch version won’t be on Frostbite, and won’t have the single player Journey mode. Looks like EA is giving Switch the WiiU treatment.
