In Forza Horizon 3, players were able to acquire custom built special model vehicles that were known as Forza Edition cars. These cars will be making their return in Forza Motorsport 7 and they’ve been fine-tuned by the developers at Turn 10, taking into account everything from the power-to-weight ratio to specific suspension settings. The 2017 Forza Edition Ford GT is just one of the confirmed Forza Edition cars.
As well as standing out from the crowd, the Forza Edition vehicles will include built-in multipliers that increase your credit rewards for racing and winning, as well as increasing the amount of XP gained while driving it. The vehicles will be available as in-game rewards through the Forza Drivers Cup single player campaign or the #Forzathon events. They’ll be available for purchase through the Auction House too, a feature that’s also making its return in FM7.
Both the Deluxe and Ultimate editions of the game include VIP membership, which allows players a head start on their Forza Edition collection. The “VIP Car Pack” includes five Forza Edition vehicles: the 1969 Chevrolet Camaro Super Sport Forza Edition, the 2013 Ram Runner Forza Edition, the 2012 Nissan GTR Forza Edition, the 1992 Ford Escort RS Forza Edition, and the 2014 BMW M4 Forza Edition.
Alongside confirmation of the vehicles and auction house comes a handful of new screenshots showing a variety of vehicles on the track:
You’ll be able to drive your Forza Edition vehicles when the game is released on October 3rd.
