Game of Thrones Talk (Spoilers welcomed!)

So…how does Dany botch her attack next week? No way this goes without a hitch, does it?

I don’t think she botches it, but I don’t think it’s over Sunday either and it doesn’t go as pleasantly as she hopes. We’ll see how well the giant arrows work I’m sure.

Another of the many ways you can see how father time will always be undefeated.

In other news, water is wet.

Back to you, in the newsroom.

Only question is why not take all three dragons?

Bronn doing what Bronn does best. And are the Dothraki weapons the most retarded weapons ever? It’s almost as bad as those Klingon weapons. Just silly.

Also, how the fuck are they moving people around like that. How would that Dothraki army get to where the Lannister army and find them exactly where they are while the army is moving. And how do they go unnoticed? Lannisters don’t use scouts?

BTW, I liked the bit of “Stannis” in there. Davos correcting Jon Snow, 10,000 or less… “Fewer”.

Omg yes, great fucking epi! But a legit question… Why not all 3 dragons?

And it goes back to the is one side or the other knowing where to hit the other?

Me likely this episode. The question of the whereabouts of the other two dragons is a mystery to me as well . Didn’t like the looks that Little Finger had on his smug face. That fucker is the one who is really play this Game of Thrones.

I thought the shot was taking the dragon down and then you wouldn’t know where she was for a bit for some drama. I still stick to my prediction that the throne stuff is wrapped up this season and next season is the white walker battle. They haven’t even shown the walkers since the beginning of the first episode this season.

On a side note, damn that battle was probably very expensive to shoot.

My take on the dragons is they really can’t be used/trusted in battle unless they have a rider. We saw them all go to town in Slavers Bay, but that was all out carnage. Using them as a weapon needs someone guiding their actions and…well…won’t be long until we have a second or even a third rider to take them to the war up north.

First 20 minutes of the episode was dragging something awful, but as soon as the Arya/Brienne sparring happened, it was right back on track. I agree the whole spear shot was pretty solid bullshit. First two times the guy uses it and he has a near hit and then a hit. SMH Other than that, the battle was as good as I had hoped it would be, if not better. Loved how they showed the people cooked straight to charcoal from the dragon breath…great effect. And Bron…just the normal badass, figure-it-out-somehow motherfucker he’s always been…great continuation for that character.

The Grammar Police are pleased. Davos is clearly the best character… impeccable grammar.

I was just reading one of the Nerdist articles linked above. Considering the scene in the cave, this seems very apropos.

Minor Sidebar: There are all sorts of issues with the timeline that don’t totally add up, but it is said that the Children of the Forest (whom The Last Hero contacted to help defeat the White Walkers), gave the Night’s Watch 100 obsidian daggers each year, ostensibly to fight a future invasion. Obsidian is also known as dragonglass, and is one of only two known ways to kill a White Walker. The truth is we have no idea if they did, when they did, or for how long they did, but the details aren’t as important the legend that the Children provided the Night’s Watch with weapons to defeat White Walkers for some period of time. Got it? Good.

From what I read on GoT nerd sites, the Childern of the Forest created the White Walkers to kill off humans.

So the Children of the Forest created the White Walkers—from men—to fight men for them. We did not see that coming.

Yes that is what I have heard too.
