Hey guys. I am planning to get a switch with my tax refund and was wondering what game I should start with. Thinking mainly about Mario Odyssey or Breathe of the wild but I am also open to suggestions.

Yeah, i think anything Nintendo should always start with a mario or zelda game. Anything else would just be wrong.
I think @anon42851937 has a switch.

Either of those or Splatoon are good games to start out. @Bigfish also has a Switch.

I have heard good things about Splatoon, though I would still recommend Zelda first.
My SO hasn’t played hers much recently but Mario and Zelda were the two she’s played most of.

I’ve got a switch, its fun. Odyssey is fun and so much to do. I think i’m close to beating it but haven’t played in a month or two. Splatoon can be fun on multiplayer, their online thing is still free for the time being. Haven’t played zleda but i want to get it. We just picked up Kirby star allies the other day and my son is loving it.
I also want to get Labo but i can already see me saying where am i going to put all this shit.

Zelda is a must have as is Mario, but I love Zelda more. They have a number of Indy devs that do a lot of cheaper games on the store that you can go thru. One of my fav games of yesteryear was Blaster Master and you can pick that up for $10 to DL. Or return to the world of Skyrim and play that for hours on end. Doom is also out and I think The new Wolfenstein is coming soon so you can still get a FPS fix. I play mine mainly in transit as my commute is over an hour.

Thanks everybody who responded. Still can’t decide whether I want to get Mario or Zelda first but definitely gonna be one of those 2. The decision will probably be up in the air until I go pick it up.
