Ghost Recon Wildlands Resurfaces With New Trailer and collectors editions

It’s been nearly a year since we’ve heard or seen anything related to the latest entry in the Ghost Recon series, but that should change at E3.

The latest trailer, featuring a guy who sure sounds like but probably isn’t Matthew McConaughey, looks like an actual game. It doesn’t feature a release date, but given that Ubisoft’s also announced a collector’s edition, it wouldn’t be surprising if they’re trying to launch this sometime in 2016.

(Remember, Watch Dogs 2 should get announced at E3, presumably to be released this year. Ghost Recon might end up in Ubiosft’s December slot.)

New collectors editions announced too:

Deluxe Edition

  • Standard edition of the game
  • Digital deluxe pack (includes “the Huntsman rifle and motorbike, 3 emblems, 3 weapon camos, 3 character customisation items, and an XP booster”)
  • Physical game map [physical Deluxe Edition only]
  • Original soundtrack [physical Deluxe Edition only]

Gold Edition

  • Copy of the game
  • Season Pass
  • Digital deluxe pack

Calavera Collector’s Case

  • All content in Gold Edition
  • Headset replica of Ghost’s Audio Headset (compatible with PS4, Xbox One and PC)

Lets see how Ubisoft can fuck this one up!

Lol think this is the same team that worked on a lot of rainbow 6 isn’t it?

Updated with collectors editions. Wonder if that headset is any good lol

I am going to need to see some real gameplay on how the game will play.

Trailers are pretty but they don’t tell me anything.

I think it is the same engine.

I’ll get it. It’s open world and co-op. Reminds me of that game back in the day called Mercenaries minus the over the top weapons and explosions. If it only holds me as long as the Division did I still get my money worth. While Ubi could and probably will fuck this up I see a lot of people comparing this to The Division and it isn’t the same game at all. (I am not talking about graphics just in general)

I know some of this is repeated, but here it is…

After being quiet for several months, Ubisoft has come out to give us some information regarding the premium editions for their upcoming release of Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon Wildlands alongside a new trailer.

The game is set to have three different tiers of special editions for you to choose from; the Deluxe Edition, the Gold Edition and the Calavera Collector’s Case. The full list of what is coming with each different edition can be seen below:

· The Deluxe Edition, available at GAME, contains the Standard Edition and the digital Deluxe Pack, which includes: the Huntsman rifle and motorbike, 3 emblems, 3 weapon camos, 3 character customisation items, and an XP booster. The physical version of The Deluxe Edition will also include 2 extra physical items: an in-game map of Bolivia and the original soundtrack of the game.

· The Gold Edition, available at Amazon, includes the Season Pass, giving players access to two major expansions, as well as exclusive digital content such as equipment packs, an exclusive vehicle, epic weapons, and the digital Deluxe Pack.

· The Calavera Collector’s Case, exclusive to the Uplay Shop, includes all the equipment needed to operate as a Ghost deep inside the Bolivian wildlands to take down the vicious Santa Blanca cartel. This includes the Gold Edition alongside the Ghost’s Audio Headset replica, a fully functional headset for PlayStation 4, Xbox One* and PC. Last but not least, the Collector’s Case also contains a Santa Blanca Cartel Skull, an in-game map of Bolivia, the original soundtrack of the game, a Bolivian carrying pouch, and 3 postcards of Bolivia.
Additionally, Ubisoft also announced that any one who preorders the game will receive a bonus mission, “The Peruvian Connection” which will send players into the mountains of Bolivia in order to break an alliance between the Santa Blanca and the Peruvian Cartels. To get an idea of what all these goodies will look like, each edition can be seen below with the digital and physical content prominently displayed:

We also got an insight into the minds of the operators in the “We Are Ghosts” trailer that shows off some of the in game landscapes you will be travelling to as well as the tactics and gear that this generation of Ghosts will be equipped with, earlier this week.

For those of you who want to be sure you catch every little detail displayed in the trailer, Ubisoft also released a trailer breakdown going over the entire trailer again adding some information and pausing at small crucial moments:

Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon Wildlands does not have a set release date just yet, but we will be sure to keep you updated once anything is announced.

I’m also hearing about two other versions…

JB HiFi Limited Edition

those games were so much fun, a shame that they shuttered the studio right after merc 2.
