Halo Infinite devs confirm Battle Pass XP system fix after player complaints

While Halo Infinite won’t release until December 8, the developers made multiplayer available to download on November 15. This has been well-received, but players have a few complaints.

One of these is regarding the game’s extremely slow Battle Pass progression, as it’s possible for a player to drop majorly kill-heavy games and receive virtually no rewards for doing so.

Now, the developers have promised a fix for this issue.

The Halo Infinite developers promised to investigate the Battle Pass problems on November 16, and Halo Community Manager John Junyszek shared some of the changes that they have planned.

One of these updates is the addition of ‘Play 1 Game’ challenges to increase XP gains in the game. This will ensure that you gain some kind of progress regardless of how well or how long you play.

The developer then highlighted a few other changes like bug fixes and removing certain Weekly Challenges that players have complained about. These will help you gain XP much quicker.

“These tunings to challenge difficulty will help you progress through Weekly Challenges faster and thus directly speed up your progress through the Battle Pass,” Junyszek tweeted.

The duration for Double XP boosts within the Battle Pass will be doubled, from 30 minutes to one hour. However, Junyszek warned players that all weekly challenge progress will be reset after these changes.

While this might worry some fans, 343 Industries will award every player with the Sigil Mark VII Visor, this week’s exclusive Ultimate Reward. These changes are already set to arrive in an update “later this week.”
