Halo Infinite's second multiplayer preview kicks off soon — here's what you need to know

343 Industries is now sending out codes for the Halo Infinite multiplayer technical preview, which runs this weekend, September 24th to September 26th, and next weekend, September 30th to October 3rd. Access to the servers will be limited to two time slots a day.

Halo Infinite’s second multiplayer tech preview is planned to be much bigger than the first, ditching the bots for player vs player action. All Halo Insiders with eligible accounts registered before September 13th will receive an invite to the tests in the next couple of days, with the build becoming available for download on Thursday, September 23rd. You’ll be notified by email and as a notification on Halo Waypoint when it’s ready. For more information check out the Halo blog.

The two back-to-back technical previews will focus on the player-versus-player game modes Arena and Big Team Battle. The Arena modes will have social and bot matchmaking options and include objective modes and a new map. The Big Team Battles won’t be available until the second weekend but will feature three different game modes.

Aside from the main game modes listed above, the previews will also allow players to use the Training Mode, Weapon Drills, check out the customisation options and Battle Pass, and play around with the new Halo Waypoint app & browser.

Matchmaking will be available to play Thursday through Sunday on both weekends. Thursdays will only allow players to use the training mode and Weapon Drills, and Mondays will see all access revoked at 10am PT/1pm EDT/6pm BST. Matchmaking will only be available between the following times in an attempt to filter the player-base onto the servers for stress-testing purposes.
