Injustice 2 Release Date Announced

While the gaming rumor mill has its moments, this week’s earlier “leak” of the release date for Injustice 2 and Mass Effect: Andromeda turned out to be wrong on both counts. After the speculated date was said to be at the end of March, the Injustice team came out swinging just a few days later by announcing the official release date, which is actually May 16th in the Americas.

What can we expect between now and then? Definitely a few more character reveals, as the roster would be looking a little thin with only the ones we’ve seen so far. Perhaps some pre-order bonuses might come out of the woodwork. We might see some new fans looking to catch up on the series. If you fall into that camp, Injustice: Gods Among Us, is playable on Xbox One via backwards compatibility.

As we learned recently, DC fighting game Injustice 2 is on the way sooner rather than later. With that in mind, developer NetherRealm have released a new story-based trailer for the game for
everyone to feast their eyes on.

In addition to the trailer, a few screenshots were released showing a glimpse of some of the fighters that are going to be in the game.

Injustice 2 is set to release on Xbox One on May 16th in the Americas, and May 19th elsewhere.
