Anyone check out Lightstream for streaming? It looks like you can collaborate and maybe show multiple streams?

Ok fuck Lightstream. I didn’t sign up. Only clicked a few buttons to check it out. Next thing I know I have an email in my gmail account from them.
- How did they get it?
- I checked out the mixer integration which is attached to my hotmail account not my gmail account.
I hate this shit. I didn’t ask for them to email me and I didn’t sign up so I wouldn’t get emails.

Are you sure it’s not an ad? I noticed the new inbox for Gmail has ads now.
Nope not an add. It is thanking me for checking out lightstream.
Edited to add: It is even addressed to my gamertag on xbox. Which is hotmail not gmail.

Odd. I checked out a lot on that site (including mixer integration, but I never authorized it - which only goes to my hotmail), and I have no emails.

It’s currently in limited beta. While you wait, feel free to check it out and set up your Mixer Project before you get access to stream. It will become available to more users each week. Keep an eye out for announcements and check your Manage Channel page on Mixer to see when it becomes available to you. There is no actual account page either so it’s not like I have ever given them my gmail email. Never had this happen before.

Check your mixer account settings. I got an email in one of my gmail accounts as well, but when I looked at my account, I had set mixer to use that email instead of hotmail (because I don’t often check hotmail).
Hotmail is my Xbox & M$ account. I have only ever logged into mixer with my M$ account.
Same here. However, I had set my email to my gmail account. It’s a separate setting.

Yea it’s hotmail. Oh well. Not that it really matters. Just seems weird that it went to my gmail. Maybe they had something going a few years ago and I signed up for it. Who knows.
Weird. I forgot I had set my gmail for Mixer, but in my case it makes sense. I haven’t signed up for anything on Lightstream, so they had to get it from there.
We’ve looked at light stream. It’s not bad and probably one of the better web based production suites. We use Wirecast as it has a more professional aspect to it, but are always on the lookout for other options.
