Renowned leaker Tom Henderson has revealed the CoD 2023, or Modern Warfare 3, expected release date, along with other key dates to keep track of.
There has been a ton of confusion surrounding the release of CoD 2023 as previous reports suggested that fans would receive two years of Modern Warfare 2 support. Recently, it’s been suggested that CoD 2023 will be a brand-new premium release from the Call of Duty franchise.
On February 9, renowned leaker Tom Henderson shared his take on the upcoming CoD 2023 title, which could be called Modern Warfare 3. The leaker’s report features key dates including an expected release date, beta dates, and a date for early campaign access.
CoD 2023 leaked release date
According to Tom Henderson, the release date for CoD 2023 is November 10, 2023.
Players on all platforms including PS4/PS5, Xbox One/Xbox Series X|S, and PC can expect to land the new title, meaning CoD 2023 is shaping up to release on previous-gen consoles.
Interestingly enough, the original Modern Warfare 2 also launched on November 10. Henderson suggests to “expect a lot of remastered maps for multiplayer.” According to the report, the game will be developed by Sledgehammer Games.
Henderson also explains some of the confusion surrounding the CoD 2023 project: “the project changed direction to become a full premium standalone release planned for 2023.” He goes on to claim that given CoD 2023’s association with the Modern Warfare series, “the game could be called Modern Warfare 3,” but he was unable to confirm an official title.
Here is a rundown of the leaked dates Henderson provided:
- Call of Duty 2023 PlayStation exclusive beta dates: October 6, 2033 – October 10, 2023
- Call of Duty 2023 open beta dates: October 12, 2023 – October 16, 2023
- Call of Duty 2023 early access campaign date: November 2, 2023
- Call of Duty 2023 release date: November 10, 2023
Henderson went on to reveal the expected key dates for the beta weekends and campaign early access dates. According to the leak, players can expect the CoD 2023 beta weekends to arrive on October 6 to October 10 for PlayStation players and October 12 to October 16 for all platforms.
This certainly refutes previous claims of a two-year Modern Warfare 2 cycle, seeing as a beta period would indicate that a new game is in the works.
When it comes to the leaked dates for early Modern Warfare 3 campaign access, Henderson suggested to look out for November 2, 2023.
