Minecraft Dungeons Creeping Winter DLC launches next month alongside free content update

Minecraft Dungeons’ next DLC is launching on September 8th and brings with it a bunch of new missions, mobs, weapons, armour and artefacts. A free update for the game will release alongside the DLC on the same day.

The Minecraft Dungeons team haven’t revealed much about the DLC other than there’s “a wintry storm that threatens to consume all it touches”, and players will need to tackle new missions filled with new mobs to halt its progress.

A free update is also coming to all players on September 8th. New merchants are being added. Players will need to save them to add them to their camps. The Blacksmith merchant will upgrade items, while the Gift Wrapper merchant allows players to trade items online. Daily Trials are new challenges that mix-up the gameplay. These trials “make wild changes to the game mechanics which provide difficult, experimental, or fun challenges for you to overcome.”

Unfortunately, nothing has been mentioned about achievements. Minecraft Dungeons’ previous DLC, Jungle Awakens did not get any new achievements when it launched. No prices for Creeping Winter have been specified either. It’s like the expansion will cost the same as Jungle Awakens at $5.99/£4.99/€5.99.
